        Crazy that both things happened so close together.

        It sounds like the pinned public shaming post that definitely wasn’t meant to be an attack on KR had its intended effect.

        Wannabe reddit admins doing fed work for free lmao

        it’s the only explanation that makes sense; why else would reddit and instagram tolerate advertisements for piefed and lemmy.world, but not any of the others.

          Rudd was included in a group of mastodon admins of large instances who were invited to meet with Meta representatives before Threads was launched. Rudd is the primary admin of lemmy.world and is one of the few that did not sign onto the anti-meta pact of lemmy admins. Other .world admins have worked closely with Rimu on piefed development.

            if my suspicions about them are correct --that want to migrate people off of lemmy and onto piefed because of lemmy’s access to leftist content. then i can see how it will happen with rudd and rimu’s efforts.
