On Reddit, it was shared as Hong Kong bookshop owner arrested for selling seditious materials. I can’t find the real story or whether it’s true, what the details are etc
This is in relation to selling Yaoi/Yuri right? Not just cause it’s pornagraphic but also because it’s gay. Rip.
None of the English language articles I found said anything about it (which I would expect if was the case). Firefox translation of the government statement:
According to a police investigation, the five arrested persons were suspected of displaying items with inciting intent in the store and selling publications with inciting intent, including inciting others to cause hatred against the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the judiciary and law enforcement authorities. The staff also collected a number of books involving inciting intent in the shop.

I was lying again sorry. It’s not my fault. The veil grows thin.

it’s annoying that you have to actually read to article to understand what they’re calling seditious:
Pong Yat-ming, who owns Book Punch, and three of his bookstore’s staff members, were arrested in March on suspicion of selling seditious titles, including a biography of jailed media tycoon Jimmy Lai.
Global oppression of fujoshis is a very serious problem & not something to politicize
