      Right? You always pick them in some symmetric pattern not to get a surprise “oh, that other end was heavier that I thought, and now I have to clean up eggs of the floor”.

    I always optimize for most even weight distribution within 12- or 18-egg containers. It makes the containers more stable when closed for moving them between the counter and the refrigerator.

    Those egg trays are too floppy to handle.

    Didn’t myth busters test something like this? With the eggs falling randomly into boiling water and they measured if they are scared or something? Don’t remember what it was about.

      They were testing if plants would react to the demise of other plants and also tested eggs, yogurt, and human cheek cells.
