I just assume they had a bad day and can’t afford headphones or they broke or whatever. I dunno. When someone goes something annoying around me I just assume they need to do that annoying thing to regulate and help themselves deal with this absolutely hellish world we live in.

Maybe I’m having a bad day and don’t want to have to listen to someone blaring music on their phone on my commute home? Maybe that person should have to deal with the annoyance of not listening to music for a bit, or just investing in some headphones? Perfect example of you looking at this from one perspective an not the other.
