Nah, unemployed for a good chunk of time. Turns out, turning up consistently late to every job you have and constantly missing full days isn’t a great plan.

I didn’t realise psychiatrists were just out and about diagnosing people with “massive” mental health issues for being lazy 😂

i ain’t a professional psych person of any stripe, and personally don’t put much stock in the concept of laziness, but if his “laziness” is hurting his relationships, and costing him jobs, well, that definitely sounds like something a psych would want to address.

I guess it might be a cultural difference to not believe in laziness, cos I’ve never heard of that 🤷‍♂️

To me and mine, he’s work-shy and lazy, not a moral failure or anything but it’s just how some people can be.

I think it’s pretty insulting, presumptive, and rude to call him mentally ill because of that to be honest.

to me it seems far more rude to label him as lazy, cause despite how you might view it, to the rest of society being lazy is fundamentally a moral failure. it’s a way of saying that someone is just bad for not working hard enough, and ignores the many many justifications and reasons for peoples behaviour.
