For me it was only flavourful. They fry the tofu blocks and serve them in a soup with some veggies, it’s delicious. This is the Chongqing variant, so as is tradition in Chongqing they add tons of chilli peppers to everything.

To Chinese people it is stinky, to me it wasn’t. I grew up around very stinky cheese, maybe that’s why. For me it was only flavourful.
