In a picturesque town on the U.S.-Canada border, workers under dark clouds were building a new entrance for Canadians into a library to replace one that had long symbolized bilateral closeness.
It is beyond hilarious that you are asking people to “use any research machine of choice” to check your bullshit…when you haven’t even bothered to do that yourself.
Ok…so, are you seriously suggesting that what the Obamas did, was comparable to tearing down the entire East Wing of the White House?
Obama had the tennis court lines repainted and had a freestanding basketball hoop brought in, and Michelle put in planter boxes, walkways and seating. All of it was basically just cosmetic changes to the grounds outside, with none of it having any impact on the White House structure itself. That’s not “renovating the White House”…it’s just rearranging the lawn furniture.
Lol! Again…are you seriously comparing those kinds of upgrades with Trump literally demolishing the entire fucking East Wing, just so that he can build a ballroom that no one needs? You’re comparing security upgrades and single room remodelling projects, to the complete destruction of a third of the White House.
On some level, there has to be some part of your brain that is capable of recognizing the difference. I can’t accept that you lack even that basic capacity for critical thought.
At the very least, are you aware of the difference in procedure that was followed on every one of those previous projects, compared with Trump not following any approval process, at all? There were no official consultations with heritage groups, historical planners or anyone in the government whose job it is to protect National sites from being unduly modified or damaged. There is a legal approval process that needs to be followed…and Trump just skipped all of that, and called in a wrecking crew.
Every single one of the upgrades and renovations that you mentioned, followed those procedures, and they all had expert approval, as well as Congressional support.
Tearing down a whole wing is not renovation.
well, they are performing renovations, so yes it is.

Lol! Wut? No he didn’t. Michelle Obama planted her own vegetables in the garden FOR the White House kitchen. That’s why it’s called a “kitchen garden”. That garden has been producing fruits and vegetables off and on, for over 200 years.

Convenient that you completely ignored everything I said, past the 1st sentence.
