All of it was basically just cosmetic changes to the grounds outside, with none of it having any impact on the White House structure itself. That’s not “renovating the White House”…it’s just rearranging the lawn furniture.

At the very least, are you aware of the difference in procedure that was followed on every one of those previous projects, compared with Trump not following any approval process, at all? There were no official consultations with heritage groups, historical planners or anyone in the government whose job it is to protect National sites from being unduly modified or damaged. There is a legal approval process that needs to be followed…and Trump just skipped all of that, and called in a wrecking crew.
Every single one of the upgrades and renovations that you mentioned, followed those procedures, and they all had expert approval, as well as Congressional support.
