Feel this is a good accompanying piece for all the folk insisting on caping for a Blackwater merc wth a nazi tattoo because he said something they liked.

A: he already had it covered and has shown it…

B: Removal isn’t a one time thing? Like, it takes months. It’s a whole medical procedure. Doing the consultation, creating a treatment plan, several appointments, and time to heal between. Do you think tattoo removal is some simple outpatient thing you can just do as a walk in?

Did you know that not all tattoos can be removed? Yea, that’s part of the consultation. Because some tattoo inks aren’t reactive to the laser. Some skin tones don’t work. And it hurts, a lot, the whole time. Because it’s literally burning it off. Pending where on the body that is, it may not be feasible.

Which is why MOST tattoo “removals” are done as coverups. Because getting a tattoo is nowhere near the same thing, in time, in pain, etc as removing a tattoo.

I swear, way too many people on Lemmy think tattoo removal is some magic device.

Not just hard. In so many cases, it’s impossible. That’s why they get covered up. What are you not understanding about this? Are you dense or just being intentionally obtuse?
