been watching gen V. Its fine but the boys is sorta played out and while it hasn’t tanked im fine to have it wrap up.
Yep i enjoyed season 1 but remember nothing about it

Grant
It is a three part docuseries on Ulysses Grant. It examines his early life and his rise through his ranks to eventually lead the US Army during the US Civil War and his administration.
Most of Grant’s time was spent in the Western Theater of the US Civil War. I grew up in Virginia so I got an over load on the battles in the Eastern Theater also I was fully dipped in the revisionist bullshit (AKA States Rights) that has occurred since.
I found this documentary interesting because it dissected the western theater and it also delved into what Grant’s Administration dealt with during the reconstruction era. Grant’s life and history is a pretty neglected because the reality of his administration doesn’t jive with the revisionist bullshit.

Slow Horses
Season 6 has dropped and this show and Gary Oldman are still firing on all cylinders. Jackson Lamb is still the disgusting, burned out master spy that he is and this show just entertains on so many levels.

Task
I am on episode 5 and this show is excellent. The primary mystery is coming together as are all the various character sub plots. The only drag is the show is 7 episodes long so there are only two episodes left.
I’m currently on Slow Horses and Peacemaker just finished season 2 with no season 3 planned at all, so I imagine that’ll be at least 2 years for another season of Peacemaker, which is a real shame.
I’m mostly watching Slow Horses because of Gary Oldman, and I like how incompetent and dysfunctional everyone is in that show.I’m 1 episode short of finishing Chief of War, which is about the unification of the Hawaiian islands. It’s a bit all over at place, but I guess they’re trying to squeeze as much in it as possible, but it is quite good. Luckily I grew up with subtitles so I’m used to it, but I can see how some might find it annoying and if so that’s definitely the series biggest drawback.
Slow Horses is pretty good. I just finished season 4 and started season 5. The combination of secret agent shenanigans, office politics, action, suspense, and a special kind of bleak and dreary humor only a British show can do. A group of fuckups and weirdos manage to be useful after all.
I started The Paper last night… I LOVED it! Only watched one episode but I loved every second.
I’m also watching Alien Earth which is fine. It’s not amazing but it’s fine… enjoyable but I thought they’d do a better job tbh
Been watching “Great pottery throw down.” If you liked the British bake off, it’s that but pottery.

The lowdown: A gritty neo noir type show set in Oklahoma. Made by the same guy who did reservation dogs. Probably my favorite thing to come out in a bit.

The chair company: A bit of a slow burn. Only one episode so far. Hard to tell where the shows going. This guy becomes obsessed with a chair company (go figure). And then things get weird. Slightly surreal/absurdist vibes going on. Too soon to rate, but good production values and acting. I have high hopes.
Also slow horses, which remains amazing, as well as peacemaker, which remains just entertaining enough to run in the background. I plan on giving Task a try when I have time.
I used to enjoy watching suits. Then on an airplane i saw there was ‘suits LA’ at first i was like na. But a few eps in im like…let it cook
Just watched uk celebrity traitors episode 1, so pretty excited. Apart from that, in the middle of a Buffy and angel rewatch. Started episode 1 of Billy the kid too, so wondering how it will play out.
