If someone from a millionaire or old-money family only wants to date people from a similar background, that’s not “wrong.” Love isn’t about what you can do for each other, it’s about what you can do together. Wanting financial stability or avoiding messy finances isn’t shallow—it’s just realistic. Most people should date within their income bracket anyway. Not wanting to date a broke or poor person is a valid reason.
Being poor doesn’t mean messy finances, some really poor people are awesome at budgeting, while rich people can be reckless spenders. Your logic is flawed.
while rich people can be reckless spenders.
In the late 1800’s, the Vanderbilt’s were one of the wealthiest families in the world. Right up until they each blew their respective shares of the family fortune by doing shit like building houses that they couldn’t afford to maintain.
I’d actually expect it to be that way more often than not. If you’re poor you can’t spend recklessly, and if you have a big enough income there’s much less reason to budget much.
Go away.

There have been some really weird shower thoughts lately. What’s going on? It’s not even a thought, just someone’s weird opinion.
But how would you feel if one of the two from the same income bracket was much older than the other one?
