Yeah, to me the most egregious part is that he didn’t bring up any of it or apologise when it came up in the drive to work.
He should’ve known better and it is and remains egregious and a black spot, but sexism was more OK and soft power dynamics were less openly recognised so I could get it not being seen as a “big deal” in a boys club in the 90s, but while being the face of a company that purports to be capitalist-progressive and inclusive of women not apologising when it came up just shows where that façade ends.
