2 tsp baking powder

2.5 cups flour (1137 calories)

1/2 cup sugar (387 calories)

1/2 cup sweet chocolate chips (640 calories)

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes.

Total calories = 3180

Makes 36 tea biscuits, 88 calories each.

    are those raw in the picture, or do they come out the oven looking like that?

    is a tea biscuit the same as a cookie? is it the same as a biscuit? growing up we only called dog treats biscuits and my dog aint drink no tea

      They’re cooked. I’m assuming the lighting makes them look more white than yellow/ brown.

      These are similar to Newfoundland Raisin Tea Buns / Biscuits. I’m not sure if calling them biscuits is a regional thing. They’re not as sweet as a cookie and has a tea biscuit / bun texture.

      Tea biscuits can be savoury. Most people are more familiar with cheese tea biscuits, which goes really well with tomato soup.
