Thanks so much for sharing! How have I been missing tea biscuits for so long?!
are those raw in the picture, or do they come out the oven looking like that?
is a tea biscuit the same as a cookie? is it the same as a biscuit? growing up we only called dog treats biscuits and my dog aint drink no tea
They’re cooked. I’m assuming the lighting makes them look more white than yellow/ brown.
These are similar to Newfoundland Raisin Tea Buns / Biscuits. I’m not sure if calling them biscuits is a regional thing. They’re not as sweet as a cookie and has a tea biscuit / bun texture.
Tea biscuits can be savoury. Most people are more familiar with cheese tea biscuits, which goes really well with tomato soup.
very cool! looks so yummy
I was thinking the same as the original comment. I read the ingredients and dont see any brown sugar, which is probably why it’s a lighter color.
If I said, “they look like cookies”…. Would you throw one at me?
Not at all. They are sweet but not as sweet as a cookie. Tea buns!
So… is that a no?
(Worth a shot. They look tasty.)
Fine, as long as ducks are allowed chocolate.
