Cooking @lemmy.world•What food do you enjoy eating but hate the smell of?English
2·8 months agoAm I the only weirdo that enjoys the smell, too? I acknowledge that it’s strong and there is a good reason why it’s not allowed indoors in many places, but when it’s outside I dig it.
I just had some in Malaysia last week. So good!

Oh yes. This looks very good.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How often do guys have a haircut?English
6·8 months agoA full haircut once a month with a cleanup 2 weeks in. My hair is thick as fuck and grows pretty quickly, so I need to stay on top of it.
I cut my own hair for years using clippers, but within the last few years started going to get it cut because they do a better job.
I refuse to acknowledge its existence.

14·8 months agoWow. This was a… blast… from the past.
God no. I was very socially awkward. Funny enough though I was a bit of a clown and did a few funny things in front of some people and ended up being known as the “funny guy”. But people would just come up to me and ask me to say something funny, and I never had any idea what to say.
So cool! I’ve never gotten two before!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Cooking at home vs eating out vs delivery: what’s your situation?English
6·9 months ago51 and 46 here. We eat at home by default. I go out for lunch once a week, and we might eat out or order in for dinner or brunch once or twice a week.
I usualluly cook a bunch of protein for the week and pair that with frozen veggies and/or fruit and pasta, oats, or rice. I’ll eat that and/or dinner leftovers.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Those who left tech for greener pastures, what do you for work now? What was the transition like?English
4·9 months agoI have not yet, but I have a few years to go before I retire. I plan on coaching weightlifting. I might come back part time - I’m a gov employee, and they allow you to come back part time which means I’d be getting paid on top of my retirement. I’m not sure yet. If coaching works out well then I’d be happy doing that full time. Maybe even open a gym.
The petals in your photo do seem pointier. Mine looked rounder at the tip.
I’m in North America zone 7b. Weirdly the app I said I used was PlantNet which is what identified it as a crocus (rain lily was #2).
This had never happened to me before, but I saw this on my neighbor’s pineapple! He had two coming in kind of size by side. I think it’s totally normal. Looks great!!
Ah, I always said PIBKAC. They both work!

So nothing was really done. Unfortunate.
