Egypt was systematically exploited and destroyed by the European powers during their various reigns and colonization efforts of Northern Africa. You are absolutely correct. However you are also forgetting that they have plenty of their own indigenous achievements and designs too. You are also forgetting that they are the ones to have built those productive forces, the schools, the institutions all for the people to garner that technology and institute it for their own good.
