I’ve always struggled with depression but had it really well managed for several years. I thought I’d cracked the code. But I’m going through perimenopause now and everything feels so… flat. I know it’s not helping that I’ve fallen out of all my good habits that help the depression, but all of those things just feel so much harder than they did a few years ago. I’m so dang tired all the time.

Anyone else relate?

I got super tired and fatigued and thought it was me getting older but then i went to the doctor and had low iron and vitamin d. I’m still worse than i was but it’s not anywhere near as bad. I also upped my depression meds along with treating the deficiencies.

I’d recommend checking your levels if you haven’t already. I might just be projecting my own situation on you, though. It turned out to be worth a trip to a doctor in my case.

seconding this, also recommend checking hormone levels - what is being described is how I feel when my estrogen is low!

You can get a bioidentical estrogen gel, HRT had come a long way and is much safer than the days of synthetic horse estrogen …
