Actually this is great. It’s almost satirical. She’s directly saying that the monarchy is a nonsensical, irrational institution that delivers literally nothing but pointless trivialities at the monetary expense of the masses. Her argument is “we’re an incredibly stupid people, us Brits - stop trying to pretend otherwise!” There’s no ‘rational’ approach to the monarchy because it is as irrational a political structure as you could possibly imagine, so why bother with this down to earth garbage we all know is bullshit? At the very least, if you’re gonna drain all of our wealth, couldn’t you participate in a little stupid pomp and ritual to appease us?

What better argument for abolishing the monarchy could you possibly make?

I’ve been trying for the entirety of last year to get people to sign my petition about this. I think monarchy is stupid and wasteful, but if seemingly the entire country fucking adores the king (for no reason at all, he’s a massive moron who can’t speak on camera), then damn it, I want the king to only ever wear a stupid national cloak/outfit. Honestly the one thing I kind of respect about the various cucks on the thrones in the arab world is the fact that they aren’t just wearing suits, but are trying to maintain a distinct culture. I want my own king, stupid as he might be, to only ever be seen in public wearing various silly outfits. If he gets to keep his colonial wealth, then I want to fucking be able to point and laugh at him when I see him on TV.
