Please, Republicans, ban wifi and cellphones! It’s a winning move and oh so healthy, and both corporations and voters will be grateful. Do it!

Can we please not use the terms ‘conspiracy’ and ‘conspiracy theory’ interchangeably?

Even the term “conspiracy theory” is giving the cranks too much credit, especially since the very same set of idiots don’t understand what a theory means in the scientific sense. For example, they’ll say evolution is “only” a theory…sigh.

These people are just the worst.

It’s just like living in a version of hell where all the stupidest and most hateful people from your school experiences got voted into office, after they flunked out or only barely got their diploma/GED, and were then let loose for aimless decades into a world of hate radio, black helicopter culture, Faux News and “doing their own research” online.

But why the fuck would the rich be accelerationists?? They’re already rich. They already won. Don’t they want to try to keep the world around for as long as possible? They got everything to lose!

Do they really think that they will come unscathed out of, and live a better life, in a collapsed society?

Because when shit burns you can scoop up the pieces for a discount, everytime we have had massive wars, economic crises, etc its the rich who make out like bandits and centralize power even more. When you have as much excess as they have they can burn a bit of it so things go on sale, if the us dollar loses half its value they are still billionaires and can buy up a lot more assets all the while the poor have become even worse off with no ability to get any assets.

It sure would be terrible if this atavistic knuckle dragging neanderthal took another swim in raw sewerage and accepted its loving murky embrace forever.

Just terrible. I mean, the waterways are polluted enough as it is.

The coverage of that story was pathetic

The question shouldn’t be “why is he swimming in a sewage-filled creek?”

The real question should be, “why isn’t the municipality receiving a huge fine for dumping raw sewage into a creek?”

I don’t think it would solve anything. There’d just be another knucklehead appointed with rubber-stamped approval from the GOP Senate. The voters are going to have to solve these problems. I’m not sure they’re equipped to do it.

A solution would be great, but if I can’t have one I’ll unhappily settle for catharsis.

I’m sure it is, but it does my make my phone hot/battery worse which is not desirable. I’ve never had any issues with LTE for the last 10+ years. It’s plenty good enough for me.

5G with MU-MIMO and beam forming makes the job easier for the cellphone modem to pick up the signal. Especially in crowds

Even then it isn’t. It isn’t ionizing radiation, and power levels are so low that at worst case it might increase the temperature of your skin a fraction of a degree if directly exposed.

      Just like the sun does.

The power levels are extremely high, and we have laws requiring signs and fencing to keep people away from them, something like 5 meters.

The sun also causes cancer. We used to have a strong atmosphere that would shield us from it. Now it’s best to stay out of the sun.
