My one gripe with this framing is it assumes every woman is easily able to find/form a group of gal pals. There’s a lot of women who, for various reasons, have trouble building friendships with other women. This narrative that loneliness isn’t a problem for women because they always have each other just alienates those women and makes them feel like there’s something “wrong” with them if they don’t have a feminine friend group.
Sorry about that. I don’t know enough about the perspective/experience of women.
I think it’s not framing it as a joke on how dudes become reactionaries at the drop of a hat, but I’ll give it to you that it could describe women in more depth.
TBF it’s not just a “you” thing, it’s a problematic framing in the larger cultural/media landscape. Even most feminist spaces treat having a feminine friend circle as the default for women, and often have trouble acknowledging the problems women have forming relationships or that toxicity can exist in intra-feminine relationships.

No you must answer for this form of liberalism.

You joke but to my eyes this is a facet of social reproduction

In Australia at least women report about the same if not higher levels of lonliness than men. Never hear about it though. Yay patriarchy.

I wanted you mention that I have met a few women in my life who felt very ostracised in women’s spaces. Usually because they’re a bit different.
Again, I don’t pretend to have much insight into this.
