NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A Super Bowl halftime show performer was charged Thursday with two misdemeanors, about 4 1/2 months after he ran across the field at the Superdome waving a flag that included the words “Sudan and Free Gaza,” Louisiana State Police said.

Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, turned himself in to authorities to face of charges resisting a police officer and disturbing the peace by interrupting a lawful assembly, police said. He surrendered in coordination with his attorney and was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

Nantambu revealed the flag and ran on the field during rapper Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance on Feb. 9. He was detained on the field after his demonstration but not charged. The NFL said at the time he would be banned for life from league stadiums and events.

According to a statement from police, Nantambu had been hired as an extra performer and “had permission to be on the field during the performance, but did not have permission to demonstrate as he did.”

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy thanked investigators for their work.

“We take any attempt to disrupt any part of an NFL game, including the halftime show, very seriously and are pleased this individual will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” McCarthy said in a statement.

America isn’t alone. America is responsible for the exact kinds of crimes that literally Every other nation in the world has committed, many long before America was even founded, including whatever country you come from.

Oh. I thought you said every country has committed genocide? Weird how you didn’t list genocides committed by Vietnam, Australian Aboriginal people, and Korea. Almost like what you said was false in an attempt to excuse the crimes of the United States by downplaying its atrocities. Really activates the almonds. 🤔

…or the more likely case: most countries and peoples have not actually carried out genocide or participated in slavery. You are either a dumbfuck, deliberately using white supremacist talking points, or (most likely) both.

So what about the countries that are the VICTIMS of those crimes? Why aren’t the on the ledger? Because if you include them suddenly it’s not “every other nation”, is it? But they don’t count, because they’re brown and you don’t believe they count as people.

What he means is “I uncritically believe every claim the US government makes about it’s enemies and haven’t considered that if the US is as bad as they say, they might actually be lying about other countries to make themselves look better by comparison.”

Stop acting like America is the only nation that has misbehaved throughout history. Plenty of people died during the Cuban Rebellion, and European countries are responsible for plenty of atrocities around the world during their imperial stages. Belgium did lots of ugly stuff in Africa, France did lots in Indo-China, the Spanish unleashed a plague on the Native Americans that wiped out 90% of them before the rest of the Europeans showed up and finished the job. England brutalized nearly all of the world for centuries, just ask the Indians or the Chinese. They treated the indigenous Australians every bit as badly as the Native Americans were treated. And let’s not forget Germany’s multiple attempts at world domination. All this stuff happened at the exact same time as the American atrocities were happening. Your part of the world is no less complicit in the ugliness of history.

Before all that, we had Romans and Khans and Huns and Vikings, etc. murdering entire cities and nation states.

America isn’t responsible for all the bad in the world, CIVILIZATION is. Blaming other nations, and perpetuating the hatred, xenophobia, and violence isn’t going to make the world the better place you purport to want.

          Oh, you poor thing.

Firstly, every gusano the rebels killed in cuba deserved to die. It is a good thing they are dead, and I hope for more dead gusanos.

See, the thing is, killing isn’t bad. You don’t believe its bad either, you just want to handwave it away as a thing that happens, and not a tool that can be used for good or evil. America is and always has used violence in the name of imperialism. Other nations have as well, as you noted, but none of them match the nation built off of (at least) 2 genocides, and continued to actively participate in genocides throughout the world to this very day. There is no match for the amount of death and destruction that america has caused in the world, through history. None come close. Your correlation of violence as a whole to imperialist genocide is part of the exact representation of liberalism that disgusts us here. Pretending any statements I’ve made are equal to this idea that america created violence and is the only bad thing that ever happened is weak sauce, my guy.

Also, my part of the world is the american south. Feel free to visit sometime. I love choking out nazis.

The Cuban Revolution had some summary executions, that is nothing compared to the crimes of what I can’t help but notice are almost all western nations over the past few centuries.

This is legitimately a line that Republicans use to downplay America’s crimes. Many countries have done less than the mountain of genocides the US has perpetrated. Also, why are you assuming they aren’t American or that they are trying to lionize their home country?

      Dishonest deflection.

As a reminder, you are claiming that the current president is worse than those that owned slaves and committed genocide to steal the land you now live on.

You are using white supremacist talking points.

He IS worse than them. The only reason he isn’t owning slaves and outright killing people is because he’s only been in power for a few months. But he is already responsible for the deaths of thousands, and they are preparing for a future in which prison slaves will be a major labor force in America.

He is easily the most corrupt president in all of history, and he is the ONLY president who attempted an Insurrection in order to install himself as Dictator for Life. He also stole hundreds of classified documents to sell to our enemies. No other president has tried any of that.

“ and they are preparing for a future in which prison slaves will be a major labor force in America.”

This history degree, did you manage to sleep through earning it? Was it honorary for being the biggest believer in the USA civic religion? Is this a very elaborate bit?

It’s only the future as a product of being true for a very long time already.

In one ear and out the other. Completely ignored that my point here was about deflection and that you need to revisit the original reply and handle it honestly.

Instead, you want me to redundantly engage with what you already avoided? Reply to parent germanely and then ask nicely.
