Ceasefire occurs between Lebanon and Israel

      Israel immediately breaks the ceasefire

Media: Despite Israel continuing their attacks, the ceasefire has mostly remained intact

Not even an exaggeration; Hasan literally covered this and the media’s portrayal when it happened

Unfortunately with regards to Lebanon, Israel was allowed to continue certain military activities, it was written into the ceasefire. The ceasefire deal basically gave the IDF and Lebanese army free reign. One of the clauses was literally that the Lebanese army is the only armed group allowed south of the Litani river and that any Hezbollah military infrastructure could be destroyed under the ceasefire. Another clause was that Israel would deploy right up to the Litani river, and then withdraw with the Lebanese army advancing in parallel, and destroying Hezbollah military infrastructure in tandem. The Lebanon ceasefire deal was a terrible deal and I hope that Iran haven’t signed something similar.

Without prejudice to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and its responsibilities, or to commitments in UNSCR 1701 and its predecessor resolutions, Lebanon’s official military and security forces, infrastructure, and weaponry will be the only armed groups, arms, and related materiel deployed in the southern Litani area shown in the attached LAF Deployment Plan (hereinafter “the Southern Litani Area”).

7b. Starting with the Southern Litani Area, dismantle all existing unauthorized facilities involved in the production of arms and related materiel, and prevent the establishment of such facilities in the future.

7c. Starting with the Southern Litani Area, dismantle all infrastructure, and military positions, and confiscate all unauthorized arms inconsistent with these commitments.

Upon the commencement of the cessation of hostilities according to paragraph 1, Israel will withdraw its forces in a phased manner south of the Blue Line, and in parallel the LAF will deploy to positions in the Southern Litani Area shown in the attached LAF Deployment Plan, and will commence the implementation of its obligations under the commitments, including the dismantling of unauthorized sites and infrastructure and confiscating unauthorized arms and related materiel. The Mechanism will coordinate execution by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and LAF of the specific and detailed plan for the phased withdrawal and deployment in these areas, which should not exceed 60 days.

Before boarding, Trump told reporters he was “not happy” with either side for violating the truce, but particularly with Israel, which he said had launched huge strikes in response to a single missile launch which might have been unintentional.

“I’ve got to get Israel to calm down now,” Trump said as he left the White House.

Iran and Israel had been fighting “so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing,” he said before turning away from cameras and heading to his helicopter.

LOL. Yeah, buddy, I’m sure it’s Israel and Iran that don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.

Netanyahu said that Israel agreed to Trump’s ceasefire proposal, even if Iran had never agreed to it.

His tweet from only 15 minutes earlier than the tweet that you posted said that Iran was not part of an “agreement” but Iran’s military would stop responding if Israel stopped attacking Iran. So I think Iran is complying with the ceasefire, despite not having agreed to the ceasefire.

I was replying to a user who said there was no agreement, but Netanyahu had announced that Israel accepted the agreement and then Israel violated the agreement that they had accepted it. Israel should have followed an agreement that they accepted. I think they probably wanted to make the point that Israel can violate agreements without consequence.

It’s the same situation as it was with Ansarallah only a couple months ago. Trump said that the US would stop attacking Ansarallah and then Ansarallah decided to stop attacking US military target afterwards.

Latest news is that the new Israeli airstrike was just a single symbolic airstrike on a radar site in the north of Tehran, according to Israeli sources. There have been no reports of any further airstrikes by both Israeli and Iranian sources.

The Israeli Air Force carried out a small strike against an Iranian radar north of Tehran a short while ago, Israeli officials confirm.

The strike comes in response to Iran’s launch of two ballistic missiles at Israel after the start of a ceasefire this morning.

US President Donald Trump had pleaded in a post on Truth Social: “Do not drop those bombs. If you do it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home, now.”

Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu then held a call, during which they reportedly agreed that one “symbolic” target would be struck in response to Iran’s ceasefire violation. But in a later post, Trump said Israel would not attack Iran.

I notice that reuters has published like 10 different articles on the same url. You can see all the different articles in the archive history. I’m a little surprised that they would publish an entirely different article on the same link.

Telegram channels I’m following announced five minutes ago that Iran just activated its air defenses. The entity can’t help bombing brown folks, even when it would clearly help them a great deal to take a break for at least a day or two.

The game theory academic who became famous on youtube a day or two ago is predicting that the USA is going to do a (suicidal) ground invasion of Iran. I can also hear Justin Podur saying that all this shit with Trump getting angry at Netanyahu is just a show.
