      yeah… I’m not sure I agree with this one either. I had plates of meats and cheeses 30 years ago… I still have them from time to time now… I’m not sure that it’s going away at all if it’s not budged from my life in any way in the past 30 years.

    Reminds me of the instant crudite gag on Futurama, where Leelah just drops some water on a little tablet and a crudite platter appears.

    Charcuterie boards are peak lazy cuisine.

    When I was growing up, and my parents were too tired or too pressed for time to put together a meal, we’d have luncheon meats and cheeses with crackers and bread, maybe some salads and call it a “cold supper”. Now it’s “charcuterie” and it’s fancy.
