USA is no longer wanting to appear reasonable. It has forever said goodbye to being the world police with limited liability. Instead it’s now only after its own simple selfish gains. And it won’t face other predators but instead work with them if deemed worth it.

The biggest threat to Europe is no longer Russia or china. The most immediate threat to European soil is by the us in Greenland.

I don’t think that trump and Vance are going to stop short of what they announced. They will go for Greenland.

This time the roles are reversed. It’s no longer the US saving Europe as in the World wars.

This time it might go all the way around that the US also invade Canada and that Europa has to find it’s position to bringing them to their senses.

At the end of the day this means that borders become increasingly uncertain.

The question is what policy will prevail. Predator logic or community based on the protection of minority rights.

Btw. I favor the later but I’m also not a fan of the strict division of nations by borders.

You’re right, but all of that doesn’t equate to the US “saving” Europe. We should be grateful for every single nation that contributed to ending the suffering in Europe at the time, so I find it a bit disingenuous to only name the US when we talk about these events.

I fully agree with this statement, just not the manner in which you express yourself when referring to these events. A lot of people would view your initial comment as being hateful over your interpretation of the word “saved”. I have no problem saying the Americans saved us. Just like I have no problems saying the Canadians saved us, or the Australians or all the other non European nations that took part in the World Wars on the side of the Entente/Allies. The people that fought chose to leave their countries and risk their lives for us. I think it’s disrespectful towards their memory to be bickering over this just because of a nepo baby that’s causing us headaches right now.
