I was more referring to the “endless horde of mindless attack dogs vs high-tech phalanx wall” bit being heavily in a traditional military’s favor on account of having ‘ranged weaponry’ and other such forms of cheating per the rules of glorious melee combat.
The ship is going to curbstomp quite a lot, though I imagine if you start indiscriminately tossing nukes at it you’d get through eventually.
I don’t know if any earth military could deal with the high orbital bombardment Thanos deployed in End Game.
And presumably his ship has shield against missiles.
