I think its look is evocative of something that’s hacked together. Like if you bolted a bunch of surplus steel panels together and stuck a battery and an engine in them, and then it had surprisingly decent performance for its cost as a result, it would be sick as hell.
It’s purely the meta knowledge - that the Cybertruck is a $100k luxury vehicle for Elon Musk’s personality cult - that ruins it for me.
