When this card got a reprint now, I saw that people were happy because the price was high. I bought a playset some years ago for a couple of cents and did not know the card got so pricey. The card never did anything in my casual token deck back then, so they are in my binder since then. I wondered why the card costs like 30€. What makes this card so expensive? Where does it see play?
Agreed.
It really sets them up for an [[overrun]] effect the next turn. We also got some potential commanders for spider decks in the lotr set, so spider generating cards are probably a bit more in demand.
Cards like [[crystal spray]] don’t suddenly become better very often, but if they can be used in a new deck and have not been reprinted in a number of years they can see a spike in cost.
Yeah it looks like the price leaped up to 60 bucks right when Shelob was spoiled, then settled down a bit, especially with the reprint announced. Shelob single-handedly makes Spiders a good type, so that makes sense.
