The second thing you mentioned is what I’m asking about. A browser doesn’t solve this problem (as far as I know) because It’s still using the steam webpage’s interface. It would have to be some kind of alternative website frontend that grabs all the data from the steam website and gives it back to you in a different (better) way.
I’m not familiar with the steam decks version you mentioned
Thank you
What does this mean?
It’s going to stay good. Right?
RIGHT?!?!!!
Maybe it’s an opportunity to convince them otherwise?
I’m never on here during work. Even if I was, that point is pretty unhelpful. I think it’s a normal thing for people to want an unlimited supply of content, as that’s what we’ve gotten used to and that’s what these websites are for. What’s it to you, to dictate how I want to use my time? Whether this behavior is a good or bad thing is another argument. I think the limited content supply here is a concession that most people have accepted on Lemmy, but I also think that it’s possible that it wouldn’t have to be a concession as the platforms grow and get better.
I can not understand how someone in their right mind would be looking at any content firehose without filtering, but it seems like that this is the reality for many.
I typically browse subscribed until I’m seeing posts I’ve already viewed. I occasionally switch to all to see if I will find any new content/ communities to subscribe to. How do you typically do it?
Just a theory, but my guess is that the channel is beholden to youtube/google and therefore any harsh criticism or demonizing the platform is being avoided?
Seat AND lid go down, always, no exceptions. Other than having a fundamental redesign of the entire structure, this is the only correct solution.
I immediately imagined it being a heavy seat that gets slammed too XD
Almost, but didn’t? Why not?
But it’s rhino liner. Isn’t that what it’s meant for?
People are so superficial.
Someone should tell her about the fediverse
I really appreciate it when the sidebar has links to related communities, websites, etc. Those are some of my favorite rabbit holes to go down.
I’m really happy to share that one! The only other alternative that I’ve come across that looked (kind of) promising was osmand, but organicmaps puts that one to shame as far as looks go. It functions really well too, I think it’s just a better app in general actually.
There needs to be a post about ‘what will be the next great exodus’ so we can prepare for that too. 😁
