Another hypothetical but ( probably very) unlikely scenario: if two people were cahoots and one accuses the other, and the other was willing to go through with the chemical castration, and manage to prove it in court, and then the alleged offender gets exonerated ( be it with prepared evidence or the accuser admitting they mistakenly identified them ), isn’t the UK just doing a bankruptcy speedrun?
Given the stage of capitalism we’re in, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people did this. Or at least attempt it regardless of how stupid it is? People have done riskier, stupider, and more convoluted things for a LOT less. If that happens en masse, actual victims get less attention and sex crimes start getting taken less seriously.
Soo I’m not discussing the ethics of it here but what if the offender gets exonerated? Free pass to sue for millions + more millions because they were wrongfully incarcerated?
I really hope they adopt this. Not just for tech. To me, the world would become a little bit more interesting with a payment card called a DomCard™ in it.
I’m not commenting on implementation itself but rather on how Mozilla went about with an opt-out approach into the collection program (even if it was for testing) to a community they have cultivated with the promise of privacy.
Collecting my data is a big deal. It doesn’t matter how it is used. I should at least consent to it.

TLDR: Mozilla wants your data and it’s opt out. If you’re on FF 128 it’s already on and you will have to turn it off manually. Shame how they have fallen this low. The LEAST they could have done is show a pop up announcement when the user upgraded to 128.
Also: +1 to Librewolf. Mozilla is definitely going to try more scummy crap like this in the future. Definitely the better option over Firefox.
Chrome has become the baseline to support for every kind of web application out there since every major browser other than firefox and safari is a chrome reskin anyway
Thank you. I was not aware of it. Uninstalling now
OnePlus really fell off after 6 IMO. I used my OP 6 for 5 years and only replaced it because the power button broke and I didn’t want to bother fixing it. But I bet I could get another 2-3 years out of it if I tried
Shshshshshsh. We don’t say that part out loud 👀
