IMO if you were American, you would remember it for being traumatizing rather than for disrupting your cartoons. I’m about the same age as you and it had a huge impact on everyone I knew.

That book was written by a socialist.
Metal straws have gotten very popular in Taiwan, the home of bubble tea. It’s not that inconvenient to take a metal straw or other reusable straw with you.
No, its the steam app that runs on Chromium.
Never visit Europe then.
It mostly works great online but Excel still feels like it’s lacking important features when it comes to writing and sharing automations.
Every day I have to use Windows at work makes me long to get home to Pop OS. It’s so much faster and cleaner. The amount of advertising windows hurls at you, even on Pro, is ridiculous.
I think it was only free for a limited time when you buy the car, they might have changed it since then though.
Even Toyota is doing this now. They locked features like the digital tire pressure gauge behind a paywall on their app.
Damn I don’t think I’ve seen an orly owl in like 15 years. Completely forgot about this meme.
What a dumb article. Britain was broke in the 80s and needed the money and pressed the issue. China was weak at the time and wanted Hong Kong back peacefully. Under those circumstances it made since to pay the debt. Today China has the second largest economy in the world and zero incentive to pay back America, and no one expects them too.
There is no such magic thing as calling in a debt. If China is in default and no one cares, the debt practically does not exist. Americans complaining about it won’t affect China’s interest rates or anything else.
I don’t think UX will be that big of a problem, in the past the unofficial reddit apps were all better than the official one. Major companies design by committee and the UX is meant too maximize profit and engagement statistics for advertising, rather than be “good”. A lot of open source UIs are better than their paid counterparts. I think PopOS is far nicer than windows 11.
You can install it as an app. I don’t know about iOS, but on Android go to wefwef.app, click the three dots in the top right, and click the install button, and it will appear to be just like any other app.
XKCD is basically all math jokes.
