  • Exactly. Why haven’t we banned Hooters, Tilted Kilt, any strip club, any theatre that shows R rated movies. Gun clubs aren’t safe for children, and restaurants serve alcohol, which also isn’t appropriate for children. Attending church makes a child more likely to be assulted, but so does being near your own family, as well as strangers. Schools pose the risk of indoctrinating kids, but so does their unce Frank. Rainbows? Straight to jail. A Smiley Face? Jail. Any opinion not shared by their parents? Wouldn’t you know it, Jail.

Ban people from doing anything because anything has an effect on kids.

  • laws aren’t changed by Nazis

Unless you lived in Germany in the 1930s.

“How could the Holocaust have happened??” While legitimate neo-nazis gain significant footholds in Western nations yet more than a few are willing to say ‘Well they haven’t told you who to hate, yet’ (unironically). ‘Well, we don’t have any concentration camps,’ ignoring that we detain and deprive significant rights from immigrants. ‘Well, we’re hardly a fasciest nation!’, disregarding the fact that our prior and still popular president attempted at every point of legality to overthrow a democratic election.

That isn’t even taking into consideration that an alarming number of people are willing to show up to protests and parades with NAZI FLAGS AND ARMBANDS. Anyone who pretends like there isn’t alarming positive Nazi sentiment in America is dumb or complicit.

  • Which domains are least likely to ban you for equivalating using statistics to cull animals to eugenics and trepanning?

I think .world is slowly transitioning towards reddit.shitty. in how heavy handed the moderation is. Interesting that comments advocatin for the literal murder of cops is allowed but saying “13 % of dogs commit 90% of crime” is a bannable offense.

Which domains have the least arbitrary moderation tools?

    Also: Cops are generally pigs.

Or: To put things on topic. .World has made relatively unilateral decisions regarding the health of the domain. Which domains have a more democratic regard for what is and isn’t appropriate? If lemmy is going to be a more poorly paid Reddit, I’d rather go to the place with more than 1 new commented-on post per hour.
