It’s a giga-stupid post, barely worth refuting, but private jets are not cars.
You can track every flight I’ve ever been on, if you know the flight number, or plane ID. Now billionaires have their own special carve out.
Ooooh that’s dirty.
I only upgraded for the nicer camera. I have so many pictures that are blurry that I think springing for a little nicer camera is worth it. But yeah, the tech is pretty stagnant.
There are things called routers that…route traffic. A dumbed down version is routers talk to other routers to find out what they know about.
If a game server you connect to matches you with someone in Japan, your computer sends a packet with the address in Japan attached to it. Your home router probably has no clue where that is, so it goes to its upstream router and asks if they know, this process repeats until one figures it out and you get a route.
This all happens very quickly, and it’s why people say the Internet routes around damage.
Discord, cause everyone is there. Curse Voice had it stomped by miles, any chat room had the chatroom feature beat, anyone could design a better UI, but it has everything in the same place, and I think being free and custom bots gave it critical mass.
Doesn’t mean it’s good.
I have always hated discord’s interface. Just because something else is worse doesn’t give Discord a free pass.
Dave Barry summed this up with his last column pretty well:
On the other hand, if I write something that turns out - despite my relentless fact-checking - to be inaccurate, such as that Thomas Jefferson invented the atomic bomb, I will receive dozens of letters, often very irate, correcting me.
It’s easily the worst part of reddit, and wider social media.
I agree, the amount of “This person needs to die” is crazy here.
There is even less room for a nuanced discussion of anything.
So that lady got sassy when we met on the bridge so we just merc’d her, is she important for the story?
He is also an Olympic gold medalist for actual wrestling, and generally hilarious.
That word with a very specific meaning is popping up everywhere and used as “made worse” and it’s grating.
I once went to a pizza place that had a slogan like “pizza done different” and you went through the a chipotle style line and picked out crust, sauce, toppings, then they made your pizza and gave it to you. I couldn’t figure out that was any different from a regular place.
Are they expensive or something? Usually outerwear that has an elevated status is high quality, such as north face or Carhartt.
You come across as condescending and rude, and I hope you reflect onto he way you interact with people.
Most people just call them “mutts”
That’s pretty gross, but the fries are tasty!
They surely agreed to it, the mixup is that people in general don’t realize how much data and how often Tim Horton’s wants to collect it.
Tim Horton’s should probably just know which Tim Horton’s you’re closest to when you go to place an order, and that’s about it. There’s no reason they should even be allowed to ask to track you all day every day, even if you agree.
That’s sort of the gist of it.
Liability only is dramatically cheaper, and older vehicles cost less. My motorcycle is $90 a year, whereas my Model 3 and my wife’s CX-5 is $3600 a year combined.
