Can I interest you in a very nice Trebuchet?
It’s the passive-aggressiveness of the tweet. Being bitter and sarcastic won’t make anyone’s day better either.
Sorry I misunderstood. And literally followed up with a clarification so what’s the problem
This Tweet (and all of its derivatives) is exactly the same level of not helpful.
You mean both hands have to grip one controller opposed to having a Joycon in each hand? That split-design can be an advantage, but IMHO doesn’t cancel out the shortcomings of the Joycons. I find them still too small and not grippy at all.
It’s a conventional GameSir controller that has a Switch mode among others. The split design of the Joycons rarely plays out, most of the time it makes the controllers unnecessarily complex and thus expensive IMHO.
My reasonably sized, more ergonomic, multi-system wireless controller with hall effect sticks does that for a little more than half the price.
Hot take: Nintendo Switch Joycons. They’re a nice and clever concept but in reality they’re bad.
Too small even for casual games. The Wiimote was much better at it.
Very expensive at 80 € per set. Yes, you get two of them but in most games outside of Mario Kart you also need both. And even then they’re fine at best.
4 out of 4 of my controllers got stick drift. Nintendo had to be sued into repairing them.
Because they don’t know the difference. People don’t tend to use expressions or sayings wrong on purpose. Most never investigate the meanings or etymology, they’re using them and are understood by the like-minded.
Haven’t seen a video of any of these, did I really miss out?
Why not make it public domain? They’re millionaires or even billionaires already anyway. And Queen also had essentially no new musical output since exactly the day Mercury died. All they did was grabbing every tape with Freddie’s voice on it and sell it.
Depends. Where I live even signed contracts can be deemed illegal in parts if a clause is still seen as unexpected or surprising for the customer.
If Google included a clause that states the customer loses a kidney to them, wouldn’t make it legal just because it’s written there.
I don’t defend the situation, I get along with it. Is it not possible for some people to have an issue with a product and still be able to use it?
Launchers aren’t perfect, not even Steam as the pack leader. But they’re a **minor inconvenience **.
I haven’t got a single game installed that uses nearly as few resources as all the launchers. Mass Effect LE alone is around 100 times bigger than Steam on my drive. That’s not bloatware, that’s a mini tool in comparison.
Curseforge/Overwolf takes less than 500 MB of RAM, when I launch Minecraft through it the game takes 20 times the amount.
Tell me where the problem is. If your computer can run and install the game it can do so with the launcher too. Some of us can deal with that even if it’s not a perfect situation.
Good grief just read and reflect on the first sentence of my previous post.
I don’t claim it’s not an issue and yes I can ignore it perfectly.
Compared to what amount of resources most modern games require, a launcher or store app needs a tiny fraction of that. The issue is overblown IMHO.
I agree, launchers are one superfluous piece of software that require additional resources.
Steam takes half a gig of RAM. From my 32 gigs available.
Also around 1 or 1.5 gigs on my drive. Many games take 50 to 100 gigs.
It’s a minor inconvenience. If one can’t afford one gig for a launcher how would a game be installed anyway?
Yes, just like Discord and many other apps that are useful but annoying: You take them off autostart once.
I don’t get why people would rather be angry all the time instead of just performing these five clicks once.
Again, I got to play four AAA games for the price of a movie ticket. How many lifetimes do I have to “own” these games?
I think I got my money’s worth out of the deal. Four big games for a tenner and people are still like "but you don’t really own them ". Yes, I know. It’s more like a very long rental.
I have a simple trick how to distinguish both:
Figurative means Figurative. Literally means literally.
You’re welcome.
