p sure it’s referencing flipping a lucky cigarette.

also true of whippits which are nitrogen oxide, likely what they’re using here.
back in MY DAY gamers used to pick themselves up by their bootstraps and get a second job if they wanted to game!
(in case you need it /s, this casual ableism is gross. if you wanna push that the artists deserve to be paid for their work that’s one thing, attacking OP for being frustrated that they can’t afford it is another one entirely. do better.)
maybe this is a joke going over my head but you just described a liver transplant. what blew my mind was learning that they don’t take the old liver out, they just squish the new one(the healthy liver sliver if you will) in and let it do it’s thing
okay I need more info, what were the sessions like? were you just RPing working on a farm in medieval times with DnD as a framework for that?
y’all I understand there are larger issues in the world but please let’s not pretend that POC working in tech feel awesome about typing master/slave in the terminal, it’s outdated and should be changed.
probably the same mod who removed the top comment censored them, idk if they have that ability but I assume so. I know .ml censors a lot of stuff automatically and it looks exactly like that.
they’re talking about the f slur
assigned male at birth, it and AFAB are often used with the intention of being inclusive of NB and trans people that you may not know the gender of or in OPs case implying that’s not the way they identify now(although that’s just an assumption, could be inclusive terminology for inclusivity’s sake)
haha that’s what I was thinking when I typed it tbh, also the meaning of factoid has changed but was originally meant as I had claimed, see my other comment if you want the context :)
“The term was coined in 1973 by American writer Norman Mailer to mean a piece of information that becomes accepted as a fact even though it is not actually true, or an invented fact believed to be true because it appears in print. Since the term’s invention in 1973, it has become used to describe a brief or trivial item of news or information.”
from Wikipedia, so I suppose the meaning of the word has shifted from its original meaning and my claiming otherwise was a Classic Factoid™️, if you will.
a factoid is something that is commonly believed to be true but isn’t, which I guess this kinda is because it’s not just extremely likely. there is a 1/80658175170943878571660636856403766975289505440883277824000000000000 chance that it’s been arranged that way before. 52!
how did you learn this run? I love portal and it looks like a real fun run but I’ve never speedran anything before and don’t even know where to start.
got a very sharp nose exhale outta that one
this is madness and I would argue it’s the cheeses that you buy rather than “cheese as a whole”, have you ever tried any imported cheeses? the cheaper options in a US supermarket are usually Wisconsin-made imitations that are great at being a lot cheaper than the real deal but flavor wise are just watered down imitations. I can’t imagine not being able to taste the nutty umami of a Parmigiano Reggiano, the bright briny-ness of a Greek Feta, what about Smoked Gouda?? tastes more like BBQ than American cheese lol
what are some of your favorites? I’m not familiar with any co-op board games but they sound neat!
