You are a person.
I am a different person.
We are not the same.
You are a person.
I am a different person.
We are not the same.
I mean, what you personally call it isn’t really going to make any difference, so if we’re trying to optimize your mental health, just reframe the naritive in your head. You’re still calling it Twitter to honor what it used to be, back when you respected it. You are refusing to acknowledge the nazi dumpster fire it has become, even if you still need to talk about it.
I personally basically never have a reason to mention the site when taking to another person, but if/when I do, I’ll call it Twitter just because I think it would annoy Elon, if he somehow knew.
Oh, sorry about that. My wife and I use that follow up when we compliment each other, but it’s probably not well known enough to just use randomly on the Internet.
But it’s a reference to a flight of the concords song https://youtu.be/YwFPJ2AWrEU?si=1kAt6OcO_1Sy_Nbp
You’re really good at critiquing social media posts. I got another here. You’re good at finding shortcuts around this part of town.
I think he’s mistaken. Those relics are green, so clearly they boost HP. (or maybe stamina)
We definitely are seeing things faster than 24 Hz, or we wouldn’t be able to tell a difference in refresh rates above that.
Edit: I don’t think we have a digital, on-off refresh rate of our vision, so fps doesn’t exactly apply. Our brain does turn the ongoing stream of sensory data from our eyes into our vision “video”, but compared to digital screen refresh rates, we can definitely tell a difference between 24 and say 60 fps.
A meta comic about loss. Daring today, aren’t we?
Cloud passes in front of the sun, Trump calls ‘election interference’
Trump drops his hamburger on the floor, calls ‘election interference’
It’s Thursday, Trump calls ‘election interference’
I really can’t imagine Trump sitting in a chair, holding a book and quietly reading it.
She doesn’t LOOK bored…
Edit: she look crazy
But they won’t even disclose that ACORN stands for Asynchronous Connector for Optical Relay Network!? Sounds like they were bought out by Big Oak…
If it’s boring and generic, how is it also nonsense? That seems contradictory to me, but maybe I don’t understand.
Don’t worry about it too much. I don’t think this current trend will completely overtake the word “weird”, but even if it does, you’ll still be good-weird, Republicans will still be bad-weird, and people will know the difference, no matter what we call those things.
I feel like there might be an emerging market for a car company that makes new, safe cars with very low tech computer systems.
Ah who am I kidding, I wish there was a market for all kinds of functional-but-not-enshittified products out there, but the complete lack of them shows the entrenched powers that be will stomp out any attempt to upset the terrible status quo.
Hahaaaaa yeeeeaaahhhh…
…but you really said it?
I think a tree falling is a little different from the double slit experiment, because the outcome of a tree falling will always be the same. That question is a little more philosophical about whether the pressurized air waves a falling tree makes are actually “sound” or whether it’s the interpretation of those waves done by our ears and brains that actually counts as “a sound”
The double slit experiment actually has two different outcomes, and that’s just some of that freaky quantum voodoo shit.
And don’t slam the cover down, put it on the edge of the pot and then slide it over to cover the whole opening.
I like the idea behind the comic, but I had the same initial thought as the previous commenter. I think maybe the comic shouldn’t have used a very well known phrase that has a different legal definition.
Oh hey, I made a haiku.
