The friend, who asked to remain anonymous, said Robinson had expressed sentiments to him that were critical of Donald Trump when they were hanging out several years ago despite the rest of his family being broadly conservative in their views.
The friend acknowledged he could not be certain about Robinson’s more recent political views, as they lost touch after graduating Pine View high school. Voting records show Robinson was unaffiliated with a political party ahead of the 2024 election. His parents were registered Republicans.

And the “Republican donation” is most likely not the suspect, the donation appears to have been made by a 30 year old, and not him (who would have been 17 at the time). There are probably many people with the same name in Utah. Pointing at his parents politics makes little sense either.

idk i feel like keeping people from rushing up on their client would be pretty easy for bodyguards as long as there is enough of them + they are paid enough to actually care and pay attention, snipers seem way harder to me because you have to constantly comb through the surroundings and rooftops rather than just making sure no one gets within a certain distance to be able to aim at the head/neck (because if you’re worried about being shot in public you really should always be wearing bodyarmor that should protect against any lethal body shots from something like a revolver.)
