to get to the other side.
Old people come into contact with all that stuff too, not just young people.
edit:
Cancer deaths are consistently declining in the US. American Cancer Society’s 2023 report
Despite the pandemic, and in contrast with other leading causes of death, the cancer death rate continued to decline from 2019 to 2020 (by 1.5%), contributing to a 33% overall reduction since 1991 and an estimated 3.8 million deaths averted.
if that were the case, you’d expect more cancer in older people as well, not just young people.

thankfully someone actually read the article (which is pretty bad in terms of accurately representing its citations). One of the other articles cited in OP says:
Research published in BMJ Oncology found there had been 3.26 million cases in 2019 - 79% more than in 1990. But experts cautioned against reading too much into the findings. The research did not take into account a 40% rise in the total population, while factors such as better reporting may also have played a role. The team, of experts from around the world, including the US, China and the UK, agreed no firm conclusions could be drawn.
Deaths (as opposed to “incidents”) is a more accurate metric to track since it’s more reliable in terms of detection (obviously) and reporting:
Cancer killed more than a million under-50s in 2019, a rise of over 25% - but with the 40% population rise, this could actually indicate a falling death rate.
netanyahu != aipac
“He meddled several times during the Clinton administration…
…supported fundraisers in Israel for then-GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential election
…in 2020 he was all-out for Trump.”
all that meddling and he has fuck all to show for it lol. hopefully that is a good omen for 2024.
even then it’s gonna get ugly.
she endorsed Biden in 2020 as well.
so at the same ratio you’re looking at about 12.4m voters so far.
how many were registered though?
i had to real-life block my aunt and uncle. it was always something about how dumb liberals are and “you’ll understand when you’re older”. nah fuck you, i don’t need this shit in my life.
but what if you don’t like THAT answer…
need that exponent formatting on lemmy
ok well I’m not going to argue about what other people say.
Voting at the federal level is absolutely a binary situation in the US. That’s not gaslighting, it’s literally the structure of our voting system.
“if you are not for Harris, you are a secret Trump supporter hurr durr”
I didn’t say that and I would never argue that position, so please stop putting words in my mouth.
How does that abolish the other Presidents and their administrations from how they are supporting genocide, ethnic cleansing, settler colonialism, illegal occupation and annexation of land?
well firstly one of my points above was that trump was the only president in history who made the US’s official position as supporting Israel’s settling Palestine.
as for the other stuff you mentioned, i never said any president should be absolved of anything. my point this whole time has been that no matter how bad you think Kamala will be in regards to palestine, trump will be even worse. it’s not a binary “good” or “bad” situation.
So how would you describe what has happened to Palestinians over the past 70 years and in particular since October 8 ?
Trump:
what exactly do you think Trump would have been doing if he were in office? Probably would have been extorting Palestine as he did with Ukraine.
dunno, i feel like half the humor of barf scenes is how utterly unrealistic they are.
in 2020 republicans went hard after the cuban vote. wonder how that’a going this time.
