The Halovars were the priestly family of flame. Though that young man is not a sorceror, he has wielded a strange gift to make a little dead creature that regarded you with kindness. Is it possible that dead things can still love us?

    • 04:22:00 More Murriggan flirting
    • 04:24:54 Kattigan’s update on the Wild World of Timmony
    • 04:26:10 The story has taken a life of its own and Brennan can’t narrate, yet.
    • 04:28:02 More Murriggan flirting
    • 04:30:10 Lore Drop Moment Five brought together head north. A brother in danger, a life turned into chaos, and maybe (if you’re lucky) vengeance. We’ll see you five (Teor, Thimble, Wicander, Tyranny, and Kattigan) at the Soldier’s table.
    • 04:30:54 Subtitle Correction Sam Liam:“I’m a real boy!”
    • 04:31:43 Palazzo Davinos. Gorgeous. Lit with fairy light; dancing wisps of magic. As Julien, Vaelus, and Occtis arrives (Vaelus trailing some distance behind with Pincushion in her arms) walking through the gardens, you hear the rushing of the nearby river Vroche. Gardens here are beautiful. Some of these trees are not from this world. Seeds from far Faerie, Tír Cruthú.
    • 04:33:41 Matt employing some DM magic as a player to keep the party together and maintaining narrative flow.
    • 04:38:30 Vaelus senses a wolf moving swiftly, somewhere far away. Her powerful ears detecting that it is not even on the ground. Something wild and magical is moving on the face of the world…That wolf needs to get into this garden.
    • 04:43:50 …this door will be open when that wolf arrives.
    • 04:45:34 …the realm of death is so choked with is so choked with souls that cannot move to an afterlife because we killed the gods. That energy burst into our world and almost struck the heart of Faerie, killing it forever. [Our families] each have a castle not in this world.
    • 04:50:11 Cormorant (Cormoray) wine is an unfined, unfiltered wine made in an Old World style.
    • 04:56:41 *Julien is cursed. As Vaelus reaches out with Divine Sense, something more troubling than that curse is discovered. The garden of House Davinos is filled with hundreds of spectres of the restless dead just on the other side of the Veil.
    • 04:58:10 General Davinos is killed by an assassin from House Tachonis just before saying something kind to Julien for the first time in memory.
    • 04:59:35

Put him on the table. Open him up, and we’ll put the stone where it belongs.

    Highlights

    • 00:06:52 Travis:“Not a competition.”
Marketplace near the Davinos estate. Teor notices an official posting banning the use of magic within the area before the two meet each others gaze and converse.
    • 00:10:23 Matt rolls a nine (Nein!)
    • 00:12:13 …the Mercanaud are a family that have worked for the Halovars for a long time, that have a lot of “fronts”, but their main purpose for the Halovars is ‘Making Problems Go Away’. And we will discover what happens in that couturier in this episode of Critical Role.
    • 00:20:30 We return, deep underground in front of the opening of the Prismatic Retort, whereupon a towering celestial with gnashing teeth strains and fights against massive chains, each link more than an arm’s width around. Enormous muscles ripple across this monstrous body. Multiple skeletal fingers (more like a bat’s wings than a bird’s) stretch out and grind and crack against more chains and enclosures. You see the face ravaged by pain and misery as gleaming saliva (or perhaps blood) spills down from his mouth. Your grandmother Yanessa turns and says, “It’s something that’s almost too hard to be believed. Wicky, my little ducky, I love you and I understand that this is unusual.”
    • 00:22:34 Wicander’s older sister, Lady Zebani Halovar, arrives with the demon Cruelty
    • 00:24:58 Halovar Lore Yanessa:"We were the Family of Flames. We were the right hand of the Obridimian Royal House…Your grandfather, Aetheon, was the Servant of the Sun…we thought that the light was from Tansul, *
    • 00:26:47 Fan Art Moment The blindfolded Goddard Halovar releasing his bound wings.
    • 00:31:28 Wicander has an arranged marriage with someone named Ebecca D’Antonio.
    • 00:34:26 Yanessa lays out her motives for Thjazi Fang’s execution, and also explains how The Creed is a tool, much like a smith’s hammer.
    • 00:36:14 Wicander has a lost love (a commoner viewed unworthy by family); “the one who got away”.
Yanessa:“Your life will be mostly the same going forward. We just needed you to know enough to stop believing.”
    • 00:39:17 Fun fact: Sam’s previous character, Braius Doomseed is an anagram for Disabused Romeo.
    • 00:40:51 The offscreen cackles are indicative of the massive release of tension. Whitney is clearly having fun watching Tyranny and Wicander get further entangled in the Machiavellian plans of granny Yanessa. After being put through the ringer, Whitney and Sam close their binders, expecting to be finished, and Brennan continues to the bathtub.
    • 00:42:11 Wicander expresses disaproval of Tyranny’s POO.
Tyranny:“I was given a body six months ago with the explicit purpose of making you look good, okay? I am hired by your family. I am not going to be saved. I’m a demon, man. You can’t save a demon…Your family has been in bed with my family for a very long time. My maker, Ksha’aravi (the HIgh Prince of Demonkind and the Shadow of Suffering) brought me to you to spread the word of the Candescent Creed.”
In exchange, he gets filament and souls. Wicander’s naïveté was so pure that Tyranny chose to be a genuine assistant.

“My contract is with you, it’s not with your family…”

    • 00:45:47 Tyranny suggests a potential alliance with Teor and they make immediate plans to find him.
    • 00:48:27 Wicander:“Of course I’m not going to send you back!..You’ve been my only friend.”
    • 00:51:39 “Help, it’s again.” callback to C2 Caduceus getting stuck twice on a new island.
    • 00:53:30 Murray:“Oh, well, fuck you.” Lord Primus Tachonis:“Coarse language like that will not be tolerated. I’ll speak to Dean Kora about disciplinary measures.”
    • 00:57:06 Murray repels a powerful curse. Dean Tallbarrel avoids a mage battle.
    • 01:01:01 Fuck Me/Fuck You Dice
    • 01:01:33 Murray overhears that House Tachonis is staying at Obrimus Manor in the Tanners and vows to take her school back from these rich bastards.
    • 01:03:29 First Battle Map!
    • 01:09:50 Thundering Thimble
    • 01:10:22 Thimble:“I’m gonna go into his pants.”
…on a 14, it’s BAD in here…the wash of embarrassment and sort of apology of the thief whose pants you are in, as he’s like, “Ah, I’m sorry.”
    • 01:12:43 A perceptive thief spots Occtis’ disguise.
    • 01:14:27 Robbie:“Oh, we are cooked, fam…we’re the worst!”
      Alex:“I’m a child!”
      Laura:“You’re not a child, you’re like 20!”
    • 01:16:56 So the first rogue reaches into his ruined pants, grabs Thimble and shoves you in a bag and pulls the drawstring closed…and then ten other rogues go…
    • 01:20:25 Vaelus comes in like a wrecking ball.
    • 01:23:17 Fan Art Moment Vaelus using the censor like a rope dart, one-shot KOs the guy with the bag and no pants.
Laura:“And his dick’s out cuz he took his pants off! Haha!”
    • 01:31:17 Thimble:“You ARE an adult!”
    • 01:32:20 Green Fire Bolt
    • 01:32:50 Vaelus:“You’re a bit young to be in this fight.”
      Occtis:“I’m an adult!”
    • 01:38:48 HDYWTDT for Vaelus on Guildmaster Solomon

    “Run.”

    • 01:40:51 Thimble:“I’m looking for Casimir.”
Casimir has just paid off his massive debt on The Gibbet List (marked for death) as of yesterday. Thimble remembers an attacker resembling him. He had a title for a stronghouse in Gormalay that was stolen by Teor’s brother Talcydimir.
    • 01:46:13 Alex’s neck crack
    • 01:47:34 The stronghouse in Gormalay is in an area called Timmony that Kattigan has just returned from.
    • 01:49:45 Fan Art Moment Pin rescues Wulfric!
    • 01:50:43 Thimble:“I’m really fucking strong.”
    • 01:52:00 Vaelus acquires a copy of the Gibbet List

    INTERMISSION

At the very bottom of the cascading falls of Dol-Makjar where the river Vrosh lets out into Lake Nadami, as the city and its tall, spiraling towers begins to fade into the nearby woods, and the highway taking off to neighboring towns (deeper into the land of Kahad), we see here at the base (the tall spires of Dol-Makjar, this city that was the shield of Kahad during the long centuries that stood as the shield to the orcish homeland against the mountain dwarves to their east, to the humans to their north, at a time ruled by the Shapers). Now it beholds a metropolis (a place where all peoples united in revolution and rebellion against the gods can sing and trade, dance and perform magic). And when we speak of perform, a place of performance, at the very base of that city (surrounded by the woods at the very edge) we see an ancient place with a brand new wooden sign leaning against a massive stone entranceway, and we see some boots approaching that sign. Liam, what does it say on that sign that now waits with so much potential there by the wall?

    • 02:07:12 Brennan:“…I’m teeping a tally…”
    • 02:09:06 The Hallowed Round. The new name for Hal’s theater, an enormous and ancient dithyramb/amphitheater that had been dedicated to the orcish deity and banned from use after the Shapers War until very recently.
    • 02:11:37 Hal:“…get all our ducks magpies in a row…”
“Once we came here to celebrate a god, now we come to celebrate each other.”
    • 02:14:07 “Shit or go blind” Some sources suggest that this phrase may have originated in the military, where soldiers were often forced to make quick decisions under pressure.
    • 02:14:25 Hal:“I’ve gone over it with Olgud, I think we’re in the black.” Ledger terminology where the color red indicates debt and the color black indicates profit in the win-lose margins of capitalism. The Black Friday shopping term comes from this.
    • 02:14:58 Shadia has been hard at work turning a place of bad memories into a concession stand with squash bread and fruit leather! She’s also made a retractable awning for rain
    • 02:16:48 …he’s got one of the ugliest crocheted hats you’ve ever seen. He looks like an old quilt monster that rolled out of bed. Uli the Orc
    • 02:17:12 “…it’s gonna rain.” High humidity can worsen symptoms of rheumatism, as it may lead to increased joint swelling and pain. Many individuals with rheumatic conditions report feeling more discomfort on humid days.
    • 02:21:18 The Tyrant God of the orcs had them know they were the only ones worshiping without a reward.
    • 02:22:57 Shadia:“The bins are for umbrellas.”
      Sam:“Episode title.”
    • 02:25:00 Mother and daughter reunite and catch up in a picturesque scene on the shore of a lake fed by a waterfall.
Thaisha:“…you and your father are protecting this world by protecting and creating the stories and songs of it.”
    • 02:29:18 Shadia:“I’ll keep dancing and keep juggling.”
    • 02:29:57 Liam begins coughing in the middle of Aabria’s tender moment with her daughter.
      Aabria:(joking)“Goddamn it!”
    • 02:30:40 Bird Stuff **…the flight of some nearby magpies. This forest is telling you something."
    • 02:32:43 Bolaire’s museum archivist assistants Spiro and Rosadella
    • 02:33:22 It seems plausible to Thaisha that Bolaire has arrived with six crates of intoxicants. It’s revealed to be an enchanted paint gifted posthumously from Thjazi to Hal for his theater.
It’s either magic you’ve never seen before, or this was sitting at the back of a workshop at the Penteveral for too long and got weird.

    (continued)

  • EXECUTION AND FUNERAL: The Plan Goes Awry

    • Casamir and someone (with fine boots) working with the Casamir’s Crow Keeper crew assaults Thimble at the hideout and ransacks Thjazi’s workshop, ensuring she isn’t able to deliver the misty step glyph. All of Thjaz’s stuff is stolen, including the Stone of Nightsong. The Stone will next be seen in the hands of Ethrand Tachonis
    • A false glyph (that does nothing) is delivered instead
    • Casamir and his trick compartment wagon never show for the execution, he instead goes to pay off his debts and get out of town. Cyd, realizing the wagon isn’t there and that they are going to be too late for the rescue plan, goes looking for Casamir at the Guard Tower, sees the deed and cash, steals the deed, and runs. Neither have been seen since, but it is assumed that Casamir is traveling north to his new holdings.
    • Thjazi sees something in the sky before he dies and realizes that he is in fact going to die, tries to communicate as much as he can to Hal before the rope goes taut.

    The Farrahm:

    • Thjazi gets remembered, celebrated, and also spat on
    • Thimble is discovered and saved
    • Julien gets cursed
    • Vaelus arrives
    • Thaisha Lloy touches the Big Red Button/Mask in Olbalad’s coffin.
    • The Coffin is brought to the Archenade for study by Murray and Bolaire
    • ‘Broken Wing’ is performed
    • Loza Blade announces her retirement and gives the torn banner to Teor

1 Day AE: Things Get So Bad So Quickly

    • Something is wrong with the Royce supply line
    • Privatization of the Revolutionary Guard by the Chamber of the Lord’s Advisory
    • Sacking of Ellipedes Tallbarrel by the Chamber of the Lord’s Advisory
    • House Tachonis are actively looking for Occtis. Murray encounters Primus at the Penteveral and almost dies for showing her anger at his rudeness.
    • Julien gets a fetch quest from his father and Lady Aranessa
    • Teor gets ‘hired’ by the Candescent Creed
    • Thimble, Kattigan, and Occtis go to the Guard Tower to interrogate the Crow Keepers and things go horribly wrong. Vaelus arrives in time to save them and they get the truth about Casamir and Cyd.
    • Bolaire gets Thjazi’s paint delivery, brings it to Hal and Thaisha at the Hallowed Round
    • Thaisha gets a tour of the Hallowed Round
    • Wicander gets ‘promoted’
    • Teor almost gets his shadow cut into pieces and who knows what else, but Wicander and Tyranny save him just in time. Teor, Wicander and Tyranny are now on the run from House Halovar.
    • They all arrive at Hal’s house, and meet Azune, Murray, Hal and Thaisha there. Thimble, Wicander, Tyranny, Teor, and Kattigan realize they need to leave town as quickly as possible and do so with help from Azune. Their goal is to chase down Casamir and get the two creed members out of immediate danger. The soldier’s table is formed.
    • Azune, Murray, and Hal stay behind to try and make things right in the city.
    • Thaisha takes off as soon as she realizes Occtis didn’t come back with Thimble and Kattigan.
    • Occtis, Vaelus, and Julien arrive at the Palazzo Davinos. Preparations for the Gala are in full swing
    • Aranessa brings Occtis up to a private room to discuss both their families and ask him what he knows about what Thjazi was doing before his death. Vaelus stays behind downstairs.
    • Julien has a conversation with his father and learns that the Tachonis have about triple the presence in the city they were expecting. He is questioned about the Stone of Nightsong. He declines telling his father more in that moment, but goes to talk about his feelings with the only uninvolved stranger he can find (Vaelus)
    • Vaelus feels she must get a gate open for a wolf that is coming, heralded by Jasmine. Commands a guard and a gate is opened.
    • Thaisha and Vaelus have a strange, profound moment of connection, Sir Julien shares his feelings and Vaelus realizes that he is cursed.
    • House Tachonis strikes the Palazzo Davinos
    • General Raimond Davinos is killed instantly and horrifically
    • Lady Aranessa and Occtis are confronted by Ethrand Tachonis, holding the Stone of Nightsong
    • LOOKS LIKE THE GALA MIGHT BE CANCELED

If you notice any issues or have anything to add, please let me know because, despite there being only three episodes, there is already SO MUCH.

  • Aramán Tumblr Timeline

    (by TheGentleHoneyBee)

    Updated Campaign Four Timeline

I’ve been trying to put together a timeline of what we know so far about Aramán and its history in the hopes of someday figuring out what on earth Thjazi Fang was up to before he died. Here’s everything we know post episode three, so spoilers abound if you haven’t seen that episode.

    BE stands for ‘Before Execution’

    AE is 'After Execution.’

RIP Thjazi, you were a real one.

    70+ BE: Shaper’s War

    • Druidic practices have been driven to the brink of extinction by the Shapers
    • The Lloy family makes the Pariah Blades
    • The Stone of Nightsong is made from the fallen celestial that ferried elven souls
    • In the Empire of Obradimia, the Halovars serve as priests of the day and the Tachonis serve as priests of night to Sun God Tansul

    70 BE: Shaper’s War Ends

    • Sylandri is the last god to fall
    • Magic goes haywire without the presence of the gods (i.e. teleportation magic does not function as it used to)
    • Celestial servants go feral
    • The Sundered Houses have all been sundered due to fallout from the war. The wider world is left in chaos and ruin, with large swaths of land left magically radioactive or otherwise dangerous/unusable, particularly in areas the Shapers fell (Eternal Night around the fall of Tansul, the fossilized wood Wastes around the fall of Sylandri)
    • The Revolutionary Council is established in Dol-Makjar at the Grey Tower
    • Based on Loza Blade’s comments, it seems that while the Chamber of the Lord’s Advisory may have been established at this time, it was not with the power and lack of oversight they are operating with now
    • The afterlives, previously maintained by the Shapers for each race, become untethered from this world. Souls have become trapped in the Teneberal Reaches. This glut of souls grants House Tachonis (who have a castle in Death) steadily growing power.
    • House Halovar clings to power based on their accumulated wealth, but have lost their previous divinely granted power

    ~70-60 BE: War of Retribution

    • ~60 BE: The Candescent Creed Is Established
    • Future Photarch Yanessa finds and captures a feral celestial of Tansul in the aftermath of the war and uses its blood to cast the wish spell for a child. Godard Halovar is born, an aasimar. She keeps the celestial as a source of power.
    • At some point Yanessa starts juicing the celestial for filament and writes the Book of Embers and starts spreading the Creed. She eventually makes contracts with the Prince of Demons to assure her and her family’s continued power and prominence, offering souls of Candescent Followers in return.
    • The Candescent Creed’s prominence in Dol-Makjar is recent enough that Aranessa comments on how ‘but of course you’re all priests now’ when she personally seems more used to referring to the Halovar’s as lords and ladies. It’s possible that the Creed has evolved somewhat over time.

~30 BE: Wicander and Julien are Born

    • At least two children are born to Iris and Godard. Iris raises Wicander as if the teachings are real, Zebani is kept in the loop and helps the ‘basement’ running from an early age.
    • Sir Julien Davinos, eldest child of Raimond Davinos, is born. He becomes childhood friends with Lady Aranessa Royce.

~25 BE: Teenaged Halandil and Thaisha have two children

    • Shadia is 25 at the time of the execution, unclear if Alogar is older or younger than her
    • At some point Thaisha feels the call to heal the world and leaves to begin wandering as a druid.

~14-25 BE: War of Axe and Vine

    • Thjazi is described as a war hero of this conflict. He made a name for himself as an adventurer in the war, at one point saving the life of a cousin of Julien Davinos and earning the friendship of the head of House Davinos, General Raimond.
    • Aranessa Royce and Thjazi’s engagement appears to be related to or even a result of his heroics in the war.
    • Thjazi and Aranessa are married for two years before the Falconer’s rebellion

~14 BE: Azune Joins a Mercenary Group

    • Azune is placed with a mercenary group by his father as a ‘second chance.’ He is with the company for at least a couple years before the Falconer’s Rebellion begins

14 BE: Wedding of Thjazi and Aranessa Royce

    • Presentation of Thimble at Castle Royce
    • Halandil is present

    12 BE: Falconer’s Rebellion

    • Azune (now age 15), Teor, Kattigan, Casamir, Loza Blade, Thjazi, and Thimble are all participants on the side of the rebellion against the Sundered Houses
    • ‘Broken Wing’ becomes popularized as a song.
    • House Royce sides with the other Sundered Houses against the rebels.
    • House Davinos loses clout by avoiding conflict with Thjazi due to Raimond Davinos’s personal connection and friendship with him.
    • The rebellion ends when Julien defies his father’s orders, unhorses and captures Thjazi
    • The Torn Banner Company gets its name from a literal torn banner from this rebellion
    • The rebels are granted amnesty on condition of disbanding.
    • Loza Blade remains a mercenary and works outside of Dol-Makjar with Teor.
    • Kattigan commits some act of cowardice during the war and leaves the group
    • Aranessa Royce does not run away with Thjazi after the rebellion fails

10 BE: Doors to Faerie Close

    • The doors close because the glut of souls unable to pass on from the Tenebral Reaches without the old afterlives has caused a build up of death energy that threatened to strike at the heart of Faerie itself, potentially killing the entire realm
    • Thimble Starts Aging
    • House Royce starts losing influence

10-0 BE: A Whole Bunch of Stuff Happens But It’s Unclear When

    • As a child, Occtis is helped in some way by Thimble and Thjazi. Likely after the falconer’s rebellion but could have been before? Thimble is visibly older than when they last saw eachother and tells Occtis that ‘he’s grown up.’ Pin was not yet created.
    • Tal’Cydimir Pridesire gets ejected from the Torn Banner Company for theft but becomes a friend of Thimble and Thjazi
    • Murray gets brought into the Penteveral and advocated for by Dean Ellipedes Tallbarrel, eventually becomes Bursar.
    • Azune becomes an Arcane Marshall
    • Candescent Creed starts bringing in demon aspirants.
    • Halandil Fang continues working towards a more permanent theater
    • Olbalad, the now feral halfling psychopomp, is killed and their remains are placed in the coffin that will be brought to Dol-Makjar. (This could have been earlier, but it seems like it was fairly recent based on the descriptions of the coffin during investigation)
    • Bolaire gets cursed for touching the wrong thing (this also could be earlier in the timeline)

5 BE: Occtis Tachonis Leaves Home

    • Occtis reaches ‘the age of majority’ (if 18, that places his age at 23), but shows no sorcerous ability. He leaves home and travels to Dol-Makjar to study magic at the Penteveral. He has not seen his family since leaving.
    • He describes his leaving to Julien as “I just didn’t say anything. I just kinda walked out a door.” His father, Primus, says he was ‘sent’ to the Penteveral.
    • His family become patrons of the Penteveral at some point.

~6 Months BE: Thjazi Starts Collecting Psychopomps Like Pokemon

    • Tyranny gets a body in the mortal realm
    • Thjazi and Thimble take the Stone of Nightsong from the Mournveil/Sisters of Sylandri for unknown purposes
    • Vaelus begins her weeks long journey trudging to Dol-Makjar in search of the Stone
    • Bolaire will eventually let her in the city, but we don’t know for certain who told her where to go to get to Hal’s house for the funeral.
    • Thaisha Lloy and are Occtis ‘thrown together’ six months before the execution when Thaisha offers to do Thjazi a favor. She is traveling to Venatus and Thjazi asks her (and Occtis) to pick up the coffin of Olbalad from that location and bring it back to Bolaire in Dol-Makjar. They apparently travel there together (Occtis hasn’t been in the city for six months prior to the execution) and both return in time to be part of the escape plan but not in time to deliver the box before Thjazi is arrested.
    • Hal gets the deed to the theater that will become the Hallowed Round

    Two Weeks BE: Thjazi Arrested

    • House Tachonis pushes strongly for his arrest and execution. One of the official reasons for the arrest is the recent attack on House Tachonis guards in the marketplace.
    • Thjazi’s execution is NOT under the authority of the revolutionary council, but the first to be entirely under the power of the Chamber of Lord’s Advisory (who will continue to consolidate power post execution)
    • Thimble frantically puts together an escape plan
    • Thaisha, Occtis, Azune, Thimble, Cyd and Casamir are all part of the plan
    • Casamir is deeply in debt with the Crow Keepers and only has a fortnight to pay back his debts before being put on a hit list. He was in debt due to skimming off the top and double dipping in the smuggling operations.
    • Aranessa Royce travels to the Palazzo Davinos in Dol-Makjar for the execution, arriving in time to advocate for Thjazi to no avail
    • Hal tries to use his connections with the Royce and Halovar families to commute Thjazi’s sentence, but Aranessa Royce doesn’t have the influence anymore despite her efforts and Photarch Yanessa is too concerned with maintaining an alliance with the Tachonis to commute the sentence for public relations reasons
    • Teor and Loza Blade arrive just in time for the execution
    • Casamir betrays his fellow co-conspirators, in exchange for a truly impressive amount of cash and deed of land (potentially from the Halovars)

And you’re going to let one of those Torn Banner walk in here and ask you about why Thjazi Fang is dead?..The Tachonis are moving and we need to move and keep up…They are our closest allies and that means that our backs are right within reach of their knives. Why are they still so strong? Their lands destroyed and sundered halfway between Stormwrack and Eternal Night. What moves are they making on boards we can’t see? Thjazi had to die because the Tachonis wanted him to die, ad right now we need them close. I still can’t get my eye on what exactly it is that they can do…It’s time for you to know the truth.”

      Yanessa:“Yeah, Wicky, you’re getting promoted.”

    INTERMISSION

Hello, and welcome back to the city of Dol-Makjar as we arrive at the next day after the funeral (the wake) of Thjazi Fang. Light Descends on The Archanade (a massive museum of many wings that lies in the neighborhood of Lugzash high up in the city near the headwaters of the River Vrosh; The Archanade actually can see its expanse buttresses the river, a short cliff fall of about 20 feet into the surging waters. The higher up you get in altitude in the city, the more the waters are foam-white and immediately deadly if you fall into them, just from falling into foam that you can’t swim through). You look and see that The Archanade is this massive spiring gray stone (Like a lot of the stone that was shaped in the ruins after the Shaper’s War, this stone is flawless, smooth gray (almost polished to the touch) summoned by druids victorious in their defeat of the gods (For indeed, the Old Path, as it is called, was very nearly erased from the existence of Aramán by the gods who sought for their millennia of rule to be the only path by which mortals could access the divine; and yet, the Old Path did survive). The ancient smiths of the Lloy family (a family of orcish smiths native to Dol-Makjar) crafted the first of the Pariah Blades (those swords that were used to defeat Azgra the Conqueror, Shaper of War).
The Lloy Wing (so named for that family of orcs) is a beautiful wing of the museum dedicated to celebrating the revolutionary history of the Shaper’s War.
Taliesin/Bolaire, as the curator of the Lloy Wing, what do we see as we move into the dusty light and where do we find Bolaire within the Lloy wing?

    • 02:37:08 The motion-detect audio playback has been used in museums for long enough to become a novelty, replaced by wireless technology, but can still be found.
    • 02:37:27 …a well-crafted, but simple, cold, iron blade (so dull in its lack of ostentatiousness, it has obviously never known the touch of fire; was smithed carefully over time from raw ore through pure effort of metalworking (pounding of hammers again and again and again)). It seems like the light from these magical cantrips (as it touches it almost sinks into the blade, as though this blade were so common that that magical light could not even rest upon its fuller blade or edge).
Off to the side, in an open door, we see an office. Candles burned down to the basin, and a silver coffin (sized for a halfling) on a desk, book and scrolls open. A sleepless Bolaire and Murray here working in this place. You’ve been working all night.
