The NHL put computer graphic advertisements on the boards and it has nearly ruined the sport for me. There are some bootleg streams that have a broadcast without the advertisements but most of them I find have the ads. Flashing shit. Cars driving down the boards. Animated logos. It’s insane what the NHL decided to do with their broadcast product.

I am fanatical about applying sunscreen when I’m outside which sucks cause the one time I wasn’t an insane person I got cooked. On the boat I always wear a UV shirt, brimmed hat, and gloves to ensure my hands don’t get sunburned because that would be the worst. I have an open deck kayak and was sitting cross legged most of the time so I have a really interesting sunburn pattern lol.

I got fried kayaking over the weekend so I’m staying in the shade this week. Trip lasted longer than I expected and the sunscreen got washed off when we had to portage. Going to get some cleaning done while I’m out of service. Probably going to watch The Prestige while rubbing aloe on my legs.

My relative lived in the bush with their cats for like 40 years without internet. I’m not sure they had ever used it before or even knew how to, so I think that made it easier. Just had a land line and antenna TV.

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires has been really bad this week and I don’t expect it to lift by the weekend so I’m not sure what’s gonna happen. I want to get out on the lake and paddle but I find it really difficult to breathe outside and really don’t want to be out there in 250+ AQI. Spent two hours in the garage organizing stuff, sweeping, and hosing it out last evening and my throat and lungs were really inflamed come morning.

Probably gonna end up playing Tears of the Kingdom or 40K Boltgun in between cleaning my house.

Can you hold in a poo for three days?

My cat will let me touch and pet him anywhere. He will get up and walk away if he’s done with it. I’ll roll him around on the floor like a rolling pin or play the bongos on his belly or butt. Sometimes he will want to play rough and will play bite and bunny kick my hand but it’s never actual aggression.

My friends cat will let you pet him quite rough but he doesn’t like his belly or back legs pet. He will gently let you know with a kind nip and a little yip sound. Hasn’t been hissy or scratchy but I think it’s because he knows me and we are pals.

I have a similar endorphin experience with this song. I’ve seen Pearl Jam too many times and they usually play this song in the middle of the set pre-encore portion (the band is known for 3+ hour, 30+ song, two encore sets). By the time the show is over you are just dead tired from probably drinking all day and being in the moment for three hours. Your brain is mush. Legs goo. Mind just going “evenflooo thosarunn lie budderfly oheeedonooo” thinking about how many songs were from Even Flow until the end of the show.
