“Well it works for unit testing, so just extend that out to all testing! Problem solved!” -Senior Management, probably
Who am I kidding. They have no idea what unit testing is.

And knock down another part of the Whitehouse out of spite.

“States’ rights for me, but not for thee!”

Every accusation is a confession.

Pretty well, all things considered. I played off and on for about 15 years (more on than off). Got into an awesome family-friendly guild and made some very good friends. I still regularly chat with and occasionally play other games with some of them.
I became the leader of that guild eventually, but by then it was well into a slow death spiral. It was sad to see everything slowly fall apart and there being nothing anyone could do to resurrect it. That was kind of a painful life lesson.
But I also have some very fond memories playing with both my wife and my son, and with those friends.
Maybe I was to much of a ‘filthy casual’ to get drawn too deeply into it (I only casually raided sporadically). But even still, it did hook me in for a while. And even now it’s left an itch I can’t scratch. I miss the Wrath era and how vibrant and dynamic and crazy the ‘world’ could be.
Overall I feel like it was worth the time and money. But I know that’s not the case for many others.
My son still plays it sometimes and is trying to get me to come back for the new xpac. But I have zero enthusiasm for it. The last several months I was playing I would log in out of obligation and then almost immediately log off again because nothing sounded fun to do. I didn’t (and still don’t) like what they’ve done with both retail and classic. I guess I’ve moved on in life.

It’s funny how he’s been caught lying so many times on situations involving Epstein, yet he still expects people to believe he didn’t require girls trafficked by Epstein.
Nobody except a contingent of the most deluded rubes believes him. And rightly so. He’s a spineless, toady compulsive liar, with terrible judgment skills, no morals, and some creepy perversions.

Imagine leaving Texas because you think it’s too liberal.

Maybe it’s watched vs buffered?

I initially read that headline as “go unpaid”. And I was not at all surprised.

Also with nothing that Piers Morgan was completely useless in this debacle. As per usual.

She is the queen of the psychotic Karens.

We’re also doing a good job destroying the planet, at least from the stance of making it inhospitable for life. Will life survive? Yes. Because “life, err, finds a way”. But it sure as hell won’t be because of the efforts of the most powerful and influential humans.

So we (the working and shrinking middle class) are still paying our taxes. But now our taxes are going to Argentinian ranchers, and gaudy and unnecessary ballrooms.
Meanwhile those who are financially willing and able are helping out their family, friends, and neighbors in need to not starve. Which is basically an unofficial extra tax - on top of the extra expenses charged to us via frivolous tariffs.
What a fucking joke. Every time I think the government can’t get any more flagrantly greedy and irresponsible, they find a way.
Yup, gotta make sure it doesn’t go off.
Well now you’re on her ‘don’t like’ list.

A lot of the comments here seem to be missing some key points from this article:

As I recall, there were some fiscal shenanigans with that, which led to the budget looking balanced/with a surplus but it wasn’t exactly that way. Something about kicking some debt into future years.
But still, your point is still good. We were far better fiscally then than we are now. It’s pretty horrifying to see how far we have gone off track over the last 25 years. Especially since the ‘party of fiscal responsibility’ was the one that send to have caused the majority of that debt.

To the surprise of nobody.
Gen X: Not pictured
Haha, sounds about right. We’re the forgotten generation. But that’s okay.
