Ok, my question still stands: If Mao fucked up so bad with its Great Forward Leap, which was done to catch up with countries like the US, and as you can see, it succeeded, China already surpassed America regardless of what your coping mechanism says; how is that a fuck up? Sure, the transition was costly and bloody, but so was America’s foundation. It exterminated so many native cultures, Mao did not do that, and also, Xi is not a pedophile like Trump.
