Maybe this gives me a false sense of security but I bought the adguard pro on social stack (I think…). I just turn all of the connections off on gemini, meta and Bixby. Like this

This is one I’m really struggling with.
I’m willing to seperate my email to something like this (and pay for the space)
I’m willing to pay for Ente for photos
And I’m willing to pay for a different cloud service for storage
But my problem is that with Google, it’s all in one and my wife and kids certainly aren’t willing to fracture like that.
Is there a Canadian or European alternative that does it all much like Google or Apple?
Same with MB. Trips are on “pause”. PD funding for conferences in the states is likely next (it happened last time during Trump 1.0 and the bathroom laws)
Check out https://www.playon.tv/
I’ve used it before. It’s not quick but it works
On this line of thinking, are there any once a day mindfulness prompts? All I can seem to find are journaling apps, etc.
I just want a prompt at 6am to make me think about something positive to start my day
It boggles most of us too. Even the most conservative people in my circles are taking up anti American purchasing practices, uniting under the maple leaf. Even the most conservative people in my circles are looking to te liberal party as the only sane option (which is an entirely different conversation but the point is PP scares them)
There was something else I read saying it was down to pandemic levels of border crossing. You know…when it was only essential
The ceo is kinda racist… Apparently…

Adding to the pile, Earth’s Own is significantly better
As a Canadian, we’ve had the attitude for awhile “at least we’re not as bad as the USA” but we’ve definitely drifted from the EU way of doing things. I’ve always felt like a hybrid between the two (with leanings more to eu).
I wish as Canadians, instead of looking over the fence and patting ourselves on the back for not being the USA, we’d look over the fence and try to see what we can do to improve more (because why reinvent the wheel if you don’t have to).
Anyone know what this software is called?
Not sure I’d hold my breath. All the snow birds were lining up when I had to drive down for work.
I usually am the same way. I’ve definitely had the luxury of being able to try stuff in store.
Anecdotally, most of their stuff says 100% cotton but it doesn’t shrink like other cotton things I’ve bought. I’m guessing it has something to do with the quality or blend.
Either way, I get where you’re coming from and respect that - I’d be the same way.
Corona 0% are pretty good and are sold at Costco. If you’re Canadian, Sobeys brand blonde ales are good too
Had this happen to me. Live Clean shampoo and conditioner is my go to because I thought it was Canadian. At some point in my loyalty to the brand (dating back well before this timeline…) it was sold to a Belgium holding company.
But better there than US.
Late to the party but seconding Earth’s Own if you haven’t yet tried it
Must’ve been REALLY bad haha
I went back to check. This is correct. It’s the un official one in f-droid.
My bad!
I assume it’s better to leave it and have it not work, then them sneak it on without me knowing or baking it into something else
