Where funny?
A short, simple explanation: it’s kinda like a classic fantasy book except you make all of the decisions for one character. The DM isn’t quite the same as an author because he mostly controls how the world reacts to the players and the events that happen as you travel, but the players are all essentially the protagonists of the story
Whenever there’s a chance for failure, you roll dice to see if you succeed. Some characters are better at certain actions than others are so the game works best when the players cooperate
There’s also a tactical aspect and some resource management to the game, but you can be eased into that without issues
Good choices. Those are pretty much the only stocks you ever need. Decent flavor variety and a vegetarian option. I prefer to make my own though
There’s also the reaction from other developers claiming that the game “sets an unrealistic standard for what to expect out of a game” despite it being exactly what people want from a triple A studio. Just a complete, well made, functional game with no microtransactions
You can carve a perfect replica of your camera with the parts on the wrong side and use a mirror to reverse it
You need to weigh the feet down, but I’m willing to help. Cheap shoes and duct tape should do the trick
For some reason only Vegetable_variety is able to post on r/DnDmemes. It’s weird, but people have been sending memes on to be posted so it kinda works
Why would we change it though? We’d need to change way too much in order to do that. Just because the system started with fingers, doesn’t mean fingers is where it is now
I don’t really mind the non-replacable batteries tbh. Water resistance is much harder when you need to design your phone with a removable battery.
I do want the SD card slots back though. I don’t care about having two Sim cards, I want my enormous local storage that I can transfer in 8-10 seconds back
What I wanna know is how Kirby has more lore than My Little Pony. He’s a blob with a one-word vocabulary.
He’s got a surprising amount of lore attached. He’s also canonically way more powerful than you’d expect

5e is weirdly stingy with ASIs and feats. It is kinda weird
I’m actually allergic to aspartame, so I’ve been avoiding it for years
You can buy a bow on Amazon with no ID. It’s generally considered sports equipment
Well that defeats the purpose doesn’t it?
Definitely. In any given session, at least half my players have used that free inspiration by the end of it
I try to keep house rules to a minimum. My biggest one is a change to inspiration. Inspiration is a reroll and you need to keep the new result. You can have multiple inspirations (max 3) and you start each session with one for free. If you end the session with more than one, then you can take one extra inspiration with you to the next session
To start with you’ll want either the basic rules or Player’s Handbook. The basic rules are free on DnD Beyond (that’s the easiest place to find them, but you can also just Google it). Personally, I say that if you’re doing 5e, you should have the PHB or some way to access the player options in there
You’ll want to go through the character creation section, skill checks, combat and spellcasting. That should be enough to start. Next, I highly recommend making a character. By making a character you’ll learn well enough to teach your players.
And finally, nothing has been more useful to me than Matt Colville’s running the game playlist. You only need the first few videos to get started, the rest is optional advice and things he likes to do
Technically it is, but that doesn’t mean I don’t hate it
