In typical fast food probably cost. Sit down restaurants, I bet they would give it to you if you asked. At home, no one is there to stop you!

Visited Newfoundland a couple weeks ago! Beat the heatwave by a week and the weather was beautiful. Great scenery, whales included!
As luck would have it, I’ve got a similar number of hands
Is there any rules against living in your office rental? In my mind, there’s always furniture to some degree in an office that can be slept on. You could probably get a shower and a change room installed. Most usually have a crude kitchen of sorts.
Unless someone comes in after hours and sees you snoozing, I think it’d be easy to keep up appearances.
It’d be nice to prioritise it at least rather than tucking it away under the oil and gas rug. There is no real competition in energy output to a nuclear power plant. And despite its egregious up front cost, operating it is relatively low cost.
In regards to fuel, uranium is used often but there is options such as thorium that have been used with some success. I do agree it is unfortunate to have to purchase from other countries but I think it beats buying natural gas from wherever it may be sold.
Its easy to put bones together and say that it existed but there’s no way to guarantee “these are certified bones of Jim the stegosaurus, religious figure”
I’m not sure what you’d expect to see regarding physical proof but I’d say probably not much. Maybe there’s something in an ancient bible?
Playing on a 240hz monitor at 240hz or is it at the default 60hz? Could be as simple as a click of a button!
Also gets access to bounce!
There was that Nathan For You episode where they locked that kid in a coffin and had an orgy outside to test the sound proofing. No real practical use but apparently it did a good job.
All jokes aside, I’m very interested to hear if something exists to that degree of practical hearing protection. Maybe a "suit"of sorts to cancel noise and dampen bone conduction or super active noise cancelling?
Crazy how the standard of living drops when people get priced out of it
Something like this
Every time I bring up transit/rail here, everyone gets so pessimistic about it. Having the option to take rail is so underrated and I don’t think anyone really understands the potential. The excuse usually is “no one will use it” and “no one wants to pay for that, where will the funding come from? My taxes”.
We won’t know until we actually try. To me there is no point to ask “what if?” And then snuff things out in protest. I really want to see some change to public transport and something like this could be the start.
Glad to hear things are improving and you haven’t given up!
If you haven’t already check ProtonDB for compatibility on your steam library! Anti cheat is usually a no go but some games will work. Non steam games you’ll have to check something like Lutris/Heroic for support.
Thanks for linking the guide, totally slipped my mind!
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but if you’re using stock Pop_OS it uses xorg by default as the compositor which iirc has issues with multiple monitors on different refresh rates. You can edit your .config file to enable the Wayland compositor and give it a try and see if it works!
This is a good example for investment in renewables or at the very least, nuclear power.
This is the way. You can avoid the funky Satan’s anus portion like normal and you get to open it incredibly quickly. Bonus you get two halves that are easy to use for peanut butter + banana ‘hotdogs’.
Huge confidence booster measuring in reference to sea level
