I’m 40 now (married and have a son). My younger family members in their late 20s are having such a hard time with dating that they’re opting in for arranged marriage (which is common for Southeast Asians).
Is there any launcher that works well with Pixel’s transition animations when using gesture mode? I haven’t tried for a few years because there would be weird animation glitches from things like switching apps or going back to the home screen.
This is a great example of the rude way to use that phrase.
To continue installing a game you had to type in the 7th word found on page 16, paragraph 3 on line 4.
What’s funny for me is I have two gaming PCs and yet I play more games on the deck. It’s just easier for me to pop into games for an hour or so and suspend it when I’m done. So far I’ve beaten the Trails In The Sky trilogy (with each game taking me about 3-4 months to beat) and it’s been such a wonderful experience on the deck.
Wait… You can’t even do continuous heart rate monitoring and logging without a subscription. YIKES!
I’m turning 40 this year and what’s been refreshing after not gaming for the last 5 years or so has been playing older games from the 2000s that I’ve missed. Great prices on these older titles and I’ve been having a blast playing them.
I had stopped gaming for about 5 years to focus on my career and starting a family. I’m now turning 40 this year and have been dabbling with games again but nothing really stuck until I started the Trails in the Sky trilogy. I ended up playing it a few hours every other night. Something about it was so refreshing that I’m now about to wrap up the 3rd game.
Like others have mentioned, perhaps your mood or perspective changes as you get older and it’s just about finding the right game to play.
People are mad that Sync isn’t FOSS. Luckily, the sink you posted has a FOSS-et.

I’m usually a lot of what others are posting. One of my favorites so far has been HumHub. It’s a social media platform that’s like an old-school Facebook before all the news and ads. Currently have about 20ish members and it made available just for my large extended family. A lot of us already left Facebook so it’s nice to have a similar set of features just for us without outside influences.
I’m using Connect for Lemmy and so far it’s fairly good.
I was going to suggest FFVI as well! I would also suggest the Trails in the Sky series as the first 2 games focus on the female protagonists Estelle.
I don’t play games while my son is awake (ever) because why wouldn’t I want to spend time with him 🐥. I usually get to sneak in my hour or two while he’s asleep at night. My PC is in the den so I enjoy sitting next to him in bed while to play games for a bit.
I am looking forward to when he’s old enough to start with retro games like the original Mario Bros!
During the lockdowns my son was born. What’s really rekindled my love for gaming was not a particular game, but how I gamed. Getting a Steam Deck totally changed things for me and made it really convenient to access my gaming library.
The first thing I did with it was not actually play new titles but visit my backlog of older JRPG games that I had missed out on (specifically the Trails series).
Gaming at my desk where I worked wasn’t the same as gaming on the couch or next to my son while he was sleeping. Sounds silly but it’s made it much more enjoyable!
I’m about 40 hours into Trails To Azure and it’s been a blast going through The Legend Of Heroes and the Trails series in order.
