Thanks! I wish the developers at Meta could afford something similar.

Not the end of the world, but out of the few apps that don’t fit in the ‘pretty much everything’ group, messenger is one of them and I can’t share a good bunch of memes on Lemmy with my friends because of that. I usually end up screenshotting my own screen because of that.
Oh, that’s perfectly fine: as Trump stated before, once elected he would start a dictatorship from day one. So if Biden is doing the same (obv. not) then he (Trump) wouldn’t bring anything new to the table, he would just copy ideas and now republicans can’t even say it’s a bad thing.
But I guess I expect too much from the average Trump voter, remembering whatever that senile felon said months/years ago.
Well, on the other hand, medicine learned a lot… /s
It sounds fun at first but imagine the amount of heart attacks and other horrible Mengele level fuckups.
You’re so right, it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the correction!
I’ve watched a video about this recently. The problem is, most detectors were based on X-rays in the past decades. Liquid explosives are pretty close to the density (and/or other properties) of water, and you can’t tell for sure whether there’s toothpaste or boom juice in that tube.
However, some airports started using expensive MRI MRI like X-ray* machines that can see stuff in more detail, plus, it lets you to make cross sections from different angles and therefore have a 3D model that you can rotate on your screen (it’s rather cool).
EDIT: I just realised someone else linked this, too. I would leave it here, it’s still educational.
Tiny correction: it’s the Hungarian equivalent of John American.
And another preeeetty common one is Tóth which is just archaic for Slovakian.
Added the link to his YT channel. As stated in brackets: obviously it’s not him, but the person’s eyes are a bit like his. I guess I should have added the /s on top of that.
Man carrying thing dyed blonde (not, but that was my first impression)
I think we’re back to the cucumber controversy. Or the mushroom one. Anyone being able to smell ants…?
Spierdalaj should do it.
I used to recommend the owl to everyone back when the discussions were free to access to anyone. Now that they hid it behind the paywall, there’s no explanation at all why a certain word would be the right (or wrong) answer, how you would use the word in other situations or any other interesting fact. Without the discussions (plus the way they re-structured the Spanish course, setting me back and making it even longer), DL is just a dragged out beginner’s vocabulary. I guess it’s still okay for the very basics, but I don’t really feel I have learnt much in two months.
I love his excitement, positivity and passion for the subject. His content is great but I can’t get myself to listen to him anymore due to his speech style. I can mostly ignore the thick accent but the ad style intonation with the constant interruptions was just too much for me to handle after a while. But again, aside from that, his content is always top notch and he’s wholesome.
My guess is shears. Or scissors for reed and shit.
A few days ago some random guy got into an argument with the other team. He wrote two sentences, ~5-6 words each. The other guy was complaining that he “wrote a paragraph”. I’m really trying to hold back my inner “these kids nowadays” grandpa but some days are a bit harder.
Err… Maybe I just missed the joke, but… If the pawn is in its initial position it means it hasn’t moved yet.
