Fan of Linux, modifying firmwares, and open source software. Mostly here to kill time and contribute to Lemmy’s growth.
If you want to play a game together over XLinkKai shoot me a message. I have an original Xbox, PS2, and a PS3 I can use.

Yeah I mean I’m not talking about ReactOS. It’s hard to measure the amount of malware per market share.
I imagine it’s weighted unevenly dependent on it’s user base and target demographic.

There are a lot more sources for random untrustworthy Windows software than there are for MacOS but that’s on the user the same way keeping your OS up to date is.
You can buy thick water (designed for people who have trouble swallowing) at pharmacies and every so often I’ll mess with the new guy at work by filling a water bottle with it and taking a swig first thing in the morning after a weekend before saying something like “Damn don’t you hate when you forget your water and it goes bad?” and pouring out a thick stream

Is Railway Hosting what people are using for hosting Lemmy instances?
Infinite Steam seems to have taken its place
The good thing is Lemmy isn’t like Reddit where a subreddit becomes locked if inactive for an extended period of time. You could still post there and people who sort by new will see your content.
Even if the mod was active people would likely only see it by sorting through all or manually searching for it.
Also more willing to engage from what I’ve seen
Just like Reddit
I played Max Payne and its sequal recently and I was surprised how well they held up. The gameplay and level design kept it consistently fun
Sure, but why would someone running a near-isolated instance want to list it there? They would just end up dealing with a lot of annoyed & disappointed users.
Maybe they only want to deal with a specific niche. For example a university that only wants to federate with other academic organizations
