  • I got an xz2 compact and was so excited about it. Then I realized that even thought it supported wifi calling, you could not used the feature on Verizon network. I tried so many different ways to get it to work, but bottom line was Verizon wouldn’t allow the required FW. Since I lived somewhere with no cell service, I had to replace it. It’s so sad that a phone can have features that can be blocked on some networks…

  • Alright folks. Let’s take a breather. Locking this post. I’ve had more reports on this post than we’ve ever had in the subs history.

Things can get heated, but remember we’re all here for the love of gardening. Text can be misunderstood with the lack of nonverbal cues. Going forward let’s give each other the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah. Hand watering takes so so long. I’m really trying to reduce the amount of hand water required this year. I’m looking to do drip tubing and drip micro tubing, but still researching my options. I’ve been asking everyone I know. Most people use a bit of everything (hand watering, sprinklers, drip/soaker hose, etc.)

What’s your watering situation? You’ve posted so many lovely raised beds and potted plants all across your property. Are you using soaker hose everywhere or is it some type of drip tubing? I’m about to redo our water and just looking at options. Right now I’m leaning towards drip tubing…

The first line of that article supports putting the lid down…and so do subsequent statements…

Research has found that flushing the toilet with the lid down could reduce airborne particles by as much as 50%

The research found that putting the toilet lid down reduced the number of both visible and smaller droplets during and after flushing by 30-60%

Lid down causes 30-60% reduction of droplets in the air but they stay in the air longer…

  • Yes. You’ll be missing out on a some stuff…that you likely don’t use. Propritary security features is a big one. Propritary backdoors. Actual validation of all the features has not been done unless the oem enabled coreboot.if it was not the oem, it’s only functional validation which can bring out corner cases. With a MB that old, I’m not familiar enough to speak about specific features that would be missing.

If you are a generic computer user, you will never know the difference other than a quicker boot and different splashscreen.

    I’m a fan of coreboot.
