That clears things up. Interesting. Thanks for taking the time. Best to you and yours.

She’s maga, but she called his shirts “Nazi shirts”?
I’d love to hear the thought process on that one, as well.
Ridley Scott did not create Alien. Dan O’Bannon did. He even workshopped the idea with John Carpenter in Dark Star (though we could argue its origins back to 1958’s “IT: The Terror from Beyond Space” as well…).
Ridley Scott was a HIRE. He has no further claim to the direction of the franchise. Just pisses me off to no end that he came in with dopey ideas that no one working on the first film would have put up with and destroyed the mystery of the franchise, and worse, connected it to Earth.
The thing I loved about the space jockey was the idea that “it’s all happened before, this thing that is about to happen to you”… An extremely nasty thing from an unknown nasty place. Both the space jockey and we lifted up the wrong rock.

It’s the major reason Kurt Russell’s wife doesn’t want him working on the film (where he ends up fighting Bruce Lee), though there are others. But I didn’t see it in the theater, so I’m not sure what I saw was only extended edition stuff. But the version I saw, somebody talks about rumors that he killed his wife, and that her death wasn’t really an accident. etc.; then a bit later there’s a flashback to him on a boat with his wife, and they’re both drunk, and she’s verbally tearing him apart. He’s sitting in a lounge chair with a beer in his hand, and she just won’t shut up. Then he looks at a speargun off to his side.
Then they cut away with the implication that whatever happened to her, she earned it.

Edit: it cost $20 to join?! I’m out
…As a “founder”; we’ll see how long that lasts
but til then at least, I’m out too

2049 was a damn good movie without him

I’d be more inclined to like the character if they’d left out the part where he murdered his wife because she got on his nerves

This is it. Any “rescue” operation would give away that bases in the region-- or at least the base that’s supposed to supply the Lincoln-- are no longer capable of normal operations.
Now that it’s exposed, it’s all doubling down on pride, while sailors suffer needlessly and are mocked for it.

Same with CGI. Early reliance on it is painful to watch. Jurassic Park still holds up, but try watching Beowulf sometime-- made 14 years after JP.
Sounds like you found some employee’s stash before he could get back to it.
Mine still works.
(though these days I use PCSX2 and let the old girl rest)

Because they were saying “this one way approach didn’t work for me” and they didn’t like it being presented as it was. And they described their approach as what worked for them. They never said that their approach worked for everybody.
You said “you fix you”, while they were saying they couldn’t and needed external help. You seem to have a problem with reading comprehension yourself
… No, it just wasn’t the “whoa” moment that you thought it was
It was barely two paragraphs, it wasn’t that hard
Well said. As if there is one single method that works as a cure for everybody.
And from a perspective of “this worked for me, it must work for everybody else, anybody who doesn’t try this is a fool”
Likely the obvious, “OnlyFans”, 'cause they’ll toss that shit out as an insult
and then they log in
