Ivan 100% Tetrises himself to save the others that have yet to fall. It’s just the kind of block he is.
Sure. The premise is that blocks are falling and can’t be allowed to reach a certain height. There is drama in knowing that, no matter what, it will eventually reach that height. You’re given the tools to fend off the inevitable for as long as you can. There’s conflict, resolution, and the plot details are determined both by the decisions you make and the order in which the game delivers the blocks to you. You are the protagonist, the computer is the antagonist. There’s a beginning, middle, and end to every game. It’s as reductive as stories get, but it’s a story.
I would argue that all games have a story. Some have a scripted narrative–which, in the medium of video games, gives the player their own immersive role in the story–while other games give you the tools to create your own story as you play. You face conflicts and use your abilities and the resources around you to overcome them, ideally resulting in a satisfying progression throughout your playtime.
Both are cool for different reasons.
Today shall be remembered as the day the rogue penises finally won.

That’s fair. He also did the first couple Raimi Spider-Man flicks and the '97 X-Men cartoon. So he has worked on some solid projects. But looking through his IMDB credits is mostly not inspiring. He’s produced most of the worst superhero movies ever made and few of the best. lol
I was hyped until I saw that Avi “Compulsively Ruins Spider-Man Movies” Arad is producing. 😬
EDIT: Oh and it’s Sony. And the director choice… eeeeeeeehhh. Here’s hoping for a pleasant surprise, I guess?
This is great, though I really wish they would finally prioritize supporting site isolation and enabling isolated process on Android.
A big part of why a lot of us use add-ons is for privacy and security, but even with more robust extension support, it still won’t be as secure as Chromium-based alternatives on mobile until they address that.
He’s got enough problems
I’m seriously considering going AMD for my GPU. I will sorely miss DLSS and good raytracing performance, but Nvidia driver support on Linux (and honestly even on Windows sometimes) is just terrible.
Came here to say this. IMO, the 8bitdo controllers are the best out there.
Who is scrolling reddit calling people “dipclown” or “trumpstick”?
They’re not unused, and that is unsettling.
Where I live, we celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day.
Zuko’s a prince! He’s not an awesome role model, but he’s an outstanding character and there are some great lessons to be learned from watching him over the course of the whole series.
Day 1 buy, easy.
I have it on PS4 and I’ve been itching to replay it, but I’ve been (foolishly) waiting on a PC release to replay. At this point, I think I’m just gonna go for it and play on PS4 again, cause I don’t think it’s happening any time soon. lol
I think this is the answer. It seems like Microsoft is laying the foundation to go all-in on cloud gaming and/or gamepass. I think their ultimate goal is to dip out of the console wars altogether and be at the forefront of what they think could be the next frontier in gaming.
Honestly, it’s kinda smart. Idk if cloud gaming could really be the future (at least in the US) until we have better infrastructure and access to fast/reliable internet without data caps is more ubiquitous, but carving out a niche for themselves instead of locking horns with the competition is pretty clever. It’s worked for Nintendo. Most PC and console gamers I know also own a Switch, in part because of the quality of the exclusives and in part because of the relatively accessible pricing of the console, but also because the Switch hardware offers a unique experience (well, it was a lot more unique pre-Steam Deck).
