STOP DOING MATH
NUMBERS WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN NAMES
YEARS OF COUNTING yet NO REAL-WORLD USE FOUND for going higher than your FINGERS
Wanted to go higher anyway for a laugh? We had a tool for that: It was called “GUESSING”
“Yes please give me ZERO of something. Please give me INFINITY of it” - Statements dreamed up by the utterly Deranged
LOOK at what Mathematicians have been demanding your Respect for all this time, with all the calculators & abacus we built for them
(This is REAL Math, done by REAL Mathematicians):
(Plots of the absolute value of the complex Gamma function, a mesh plot of |arctan(z^(-5))|, a compound of five cubes)
“Hello I would like (Riemann surface for the function f(z) = √z ) apples please”
They have played us for absolute fools
QUIT YA COUNTIN! TWENTY FOUR IS THE HIGHEST NUMBA AND THAT’S IT! LET IT GO!
Oh no, looks like someone hasn’t learned to count to schfifty-five

Not gonna lie, I used algebra mid-conversation about a week ago. We were talking about the roaming range of unspayed cats. They typically roam within a 5 mile radius from home. I then had the fortune of remembering the formula for finding the area of a circle and was able to determine that unspayed cats have a home range of 78.5 square miles. That may or may not have been the first time I’ve used algebra outside of a classroom. I’m 31.
Geometry though, with a splash of abstract reasoning, so yeah! Gold star for you
You are correct. It’s geometry/pre-algebra. My bad
Two stars!
What’s 9+10?
That’s a very large number so I’m gonna go with ‘your mum’.
Unimportant.
Reminds me of an Ursula K Le Guinn short story where numerals were heresay and people needed to use special slide rulers to do any computation.
